I would also like to introduce my co-host for the Pigeon. When did you know Kara&Lee were you ship? I didn't really know until Scar aired way back when in... 2006? I'd been intrigued, but I became a shipper then. They were angsty and fucked up and SO MANY ISSUES. Although, tbh, I wasn't a hardcore shipper until S3.
Favorite other character(s): Oooh, this is a toughie. *distressed* I'm gonna go with Saul Frakkin' Tigh. Because he's one badass motherfucker. Although I will forever have a soft spot for Gaeta. ♥

Movie: I don't really have any favorite movies, mostly because they tend to not make a lasting impression. The most recent movie I really loved was Inception, if that helps any.
Song: I change favorite songs like crazy. Right now it's "No Gringo" by Vienna Teng. It used to be "Skinny Love" by Bon Iver, "Thick as Thieves" by Natalie Merchant, oh and anything by Iron & Wine. Sam Beam is my forever love.

Next best ship: Helo/Racetrack. Leah Cairns (Racetrack) read one of sabaceanbabe's fics at a BSG cast Christmas party one year. She chose to play her character "wildly attracted" to Helo and jealous of Sharon Agathon (see battlestarwiki.org: Margaret Edmondson). Tahmoh Penikett (Helo) decided that he would also play his scenes with Racetrack with underlying tension also.
Favorite book, movie and song: My favorite book is The Great Gatsby. I have the biggest literary crush on Nick Carraway. I have a ton of favorite movies but if I have to pick just one to watch for the rest of my life I'd have to pick The Fifth Element. I've watched that movie a billion times. I love it. When did you know Kara&Lee were your ship? man ... I think I loved their relationship, and their characters individually, the whole run of the show. Certainly they were among the few characters who never really drove-me-up the-wall-batty, and kept evolving and doing stupid things and smart things and brave things and learning from them. Well, sometimes. I was okay with the way they circled each other kind of endlessly, and with exploring all the aspects of their incredible relationship. But I gave up on the series as getting too tangled up in itself at some point, and only recently got around to watching 4 and 4.5. At which point I saw the infamous *poof*, saw red, and saw that in a single instant I had been converted to a die-hard shipper. (Once I might have entertained shipping Kara/Leoben, but the moment he walked away from her on Earth 1, that relationship was over in my mind. It was interesting while it lasted, but it's dead and done and unresurrectable, angel-cats or no.)
Favorite other character(s): Romo, always. Adama and Laura, together or apart, have always been good fun. And Saul Tigh, bless his crusty, withered, loyal, bloody-minded soul, completely won me over in the end. I'm rewatching the series slowly right now and enjoying the hell out of him.
Favorite episodes/scenes: uh, not so good at this kind of stuff. Probably "You Can't Go Home Again", just for the sheer awesomeness of Kara.

When did you know Kara & Lee were your ship? I wished them well from the start, but somewhere over Season One I started to actively root for them and I think Season Two is where I really fell for them. I love them from the beginning in retrospect, if that makes any sense :)
Favorite other character(s): Hmm. I don't love any other characters, but I like Bill, Tigh, Helo, Billy, Gaeta and Kendra. I think Roslin is interesting even though I disagree with almost all her major decisions from season 2.5 onward, which is in its own way a tribute to her character.
Favorite episodes/scenes: too many to name! But the usuals for a K/L fan :)
Next best ship: The one I've written most about is unrequited Snape/Lily from Harry Potter. If I'm allowed to count a friendship, then I'd say Holmes and Watson's cameraderie has warmed my heart since I was about eleven years old :)
Favorite book, movie and song: Book: probably Pride & Prejudice. Movie: probably Lawrence of Arabia. Song: I'm not sure, but I will say that watching/listening to The Pirates of Penzance never fails to make me happy.

Hello all! I'm late to the party as usual. Being on the opposite side of the planet from most of you has it's disadvantages.

When did you know Kara&Lee were your ship? A friend told me to watch BSG, and so one weekend while sick I hired the DVDs and ploughed through the first 3 seasons. Stupidly, I didn't even realize there had been a mini series to kick things off, so I missed so many of the key bits that set up the UST between L/K. I had a nebulous appreciation that there was something really significant bubbling away under the surface of Lee and Kara's interactions, but it wasn't until the self-defence classes and the first indications of a romantic pairing between Lee and Dualla that I realised, 'That's just not right!' From that point on it was L/K or nothing.
Favorite other character(s): Roslin, though I never warmed that much to the Adama/Roslin ship.
Favorite episodes/scenes: Final Cut (even if the concept was ripped from an old M*A*S*H episode). I also loved the Pegasus and New Caprica arcs. As far as L/K go, I love Scar and The Captain's Hand because I can't get enough angst, and the brig scene in Six of One because it just shows how right the two of them could get things from time to time.
Next best ship: Hmmmm. As a rule I'm not very good at splitting my attention across multiple ships- totally single-minded- But maybe Helo and Sharon at a stretch?
Favorite book, movie and song: This changes on a daily basis, but today I'd say, The English Patient by Michael Ondaatje, 21 Grams by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap

Funny, I missed the mini series first time around, too – but the "Do I have to ... smack you in the mouth, Lieutenant?" line made me sit up quick-smart. :D

The English Patient really sucks me in, although I've only read it two or three times. I love Kip especially, but Almasy and Katherine are strangely compelling, too. Ondaatje's other stuff is still lyrical, but there's something about the desert that matches his prose beautifully.

When did you know Kara&Lee were your ship? Oh gosh...I don't remember. VERY early on. It probably started with the miniseries, and was solidified by early Season 1.
Favorite other character(s):The Old Man, Roslin, Helo, Sam. I also really like pre-Cylon Tyrol, and Cally (though mostly because I love that I look enough like her to cosplay!)
Favorite episodes/scenes: The Miniseries, 33, The Oath (because it's so frakkin' good to see Starbuck back in action!)...I couldn't possibly list them all. As for scenes, the typical Lee/Kara stuff. Although I have to say that the scene where Kara steps out of her viper in He That Believeth In Me and Lee grabs her like he's never gonna let go, and she whispers "Ok, it's ok, me too..." is definitely near the top. The "I could do this all day...who's next?" scene in The Oath is up there too.
Next best ship: The Doctor/Rose Tyler. They were without contest my OTP before I met Lee & Kara.
Favorite book, movie and song: Impossible to pick just one of each. I like sci-fi and fantasy in general. Doctor Who, Harry Potter, LOTR, Buffy, Firefly, etc. Music, I definitely cannot pick. I will say that my current favorite song for Lee & Kara is "I Need You Now" by Lady Antebellum.
Anything else you'd like to share?There's something about BSG, and Lee & Kara in particular, that gets me in a way that nothing ever has before. I STILL can't think about the finale without it bringing tears to my eyes, for example. I heavily identify with Kara (and not just because I too am hopelessly addicted to Apollo), which I think has a lot to do with it. Not her background (and I'm pretty sure I'm not as frakked up as she is), but just...the way she operates? I'm not sure how to describe it. Anyway...like someone else said, yay new friends!

When did you know Kara&Lee were you ship? I cannot remember! I skipped the mini and started with 33 and watched a few episodes before I realized I needed to watch the mini! I'd say I probably started rooting for them around AoC and YCGHA.
Favorite other character(s): Adama, Tigh, Kendra (although I hated Tigh until I saw Occupation!!)

When did you know Kara&Lee were you ship? Really late in the game. The second brig scene actually :-) I didn't like Lee at all until he became Civilian!Lee
Favorite other character(s): Gaius (+Head!Six), Leoben, Romo, Helo
Favorite episodes/scenes: 33 will always be my absolute favorite. Every scene in that epi is a fave. My other favorite scene is when Gaius puts his head down on his desk ... pause ... lifts it up and he's all disheveled and it says "One year later" on the screen. The soundtrack for that scene is one of my faves too. There are tons of K/L scenes I love but my fave with them is the second memorial hallway scene. The "I'm Lee, you're Kara" one.
Next best ship: On BSG? No one really. I don't go into things looking for ships, they just kinda happen. I'd say if I had to choose, right this second it would be kinda/sorta Olivia & Peter in Fringe. I did ship Victor/Sierra in Dollhouse and of course, I've been shipping Lizzy & Darcy (Pride & Prejudice) since I was 12 :-)
