[identity profile] kdbleu.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] no_takebacks
I’ve noticed a few new faces, er you know what I mean, posting here at [livejournal.com profile] no_takebacks so I thought it was time for a quick friending/introduction meme. So here goes:

Name/Callsign:
Age/Location (if you want):
When did you know Kara&Lee were you ship?
Favorite other character(s):
Favorite episodes/scenes:
Next best ship:
Favorite book, movie and song:
Anything else you'd like to share?

I would also like to introduce my co-host for the Pigeon. I don’t know how I missed him during [livejournal.com profile] taragel recent things that will always be linked to BSG post because I cannot take pigeons seriously anymore. As it turns out, as the mother of small children, I end smirking a lot at the Pigeon stories of Mo Willems because he’s kind of a super annoying pigeon who wants to drive a bus and eat hotdogs and such.

I'm here! Finally!

Hey bb. I didn't realize you were driving the DPP bus this week! WOOT! &hearts

Here are my responses:

Name/Callsign: Naz (pronounced like Oz)/Diva (I have NO idea why, ask [livejournal.com profile] stripes13
Age/Location (if you want): 44/So. CA
When did you know Kara&Lee were you ship? Really late in the game. The second brig scene actually :-) I didn't like Lee at all until he became Civilian!Lee
Favorite other character(s): Gaius (+Head!Six), Leoben, Romo, Helo
Favorite episodes/scenes: 33 will always be my absolute favorite. Every scene in that epi is a fave. My other favorite scene is when Gaius puts his head down on his desk ... pause ... lifts it up and he's all disheveled and it says "One year later" on the screen. The soundtrack for that scene is one of my faves too. There are tons of K/L scenes I love but my fave with them is the second memorial hallway scene. The "I'm Lee, you're Kara" one.
Next best ship: On BSG? No one really. I don't go into things looking for ships, they just kinda happen. I'd say if I had to choose, right this second it would be kinda/sorta Olivia & Peter in Fringe. I did ship Victor/Sierra in Dollhouse and of course, I've been shipping Lizzy & Darcy (Pride & Prejudice) since I was 12 :-)
Favorite book, movie and song: There is no way I can list all of them!
Anything else you'd like to share? I love this fandom, I've made some amazing friends here and I hope to make more. You guys are all the best!!! &hearts &hearts &hearts

yay! Lizzy/Darcy forever. :)

I really love that "one year later" moment too. Was seriously one of the BEST season finales ever.

The "one year later" scene is AMAZING. I remember listening to RDM's podcast (back before my disillusionment and raaaaage) in which he talked about how that scene came to be. They kept whittling it down from 1. taking a commercial and coming back to "one year later" to 2. changing it during the act to 3. doing it in a scene to, finally, 4. in one camera shot. Urgh, so much love for the transition.

And yes, the soundtrack is fabulous. I personally love S2's soundtrack most. S4 has some lovely pieces, but I think S2 gave Bear McCreary the most to work with. The range of the score is so good. There's "Prelude to War" and then you have "Roslin and Adama". askdjfalklj;ja;akj I worship that man's brain.
