Daily Pilots Post: That's Just the Way I Like It.

I thought it might be an interesting idea to devote a DPP to deep introspection and thoughts of the thinky variety because… well, useless K/L rumination is just my thing. But dudes, after pondering the idea for a while I just realized that it’s still Tuesday and we have the whole week to get trascendental and misty. So instead, today I’d love to chat about one of the reasons fic is such an enjoyable experience…

My personal history with porn is such as it goes… When I first discovered fandom –less than two years ago—I started reading BSG fic because I craved to learn more about the characters and their story, I wanted to dissect and discuss them and flesh the show in the process, and it occurred to me that fic was the perfect means for this kind of intellectual purpose (yes, it’s true, so shut up! ;)). But one fateful day I stumbled upon elzed ’s journal and her glorious smutty smut, and afterwards I discovered elly427 ’s stories, and soon after that I learned that something with such a striking name as pornbattle existed. And thus started my personal descent into Hades… Needless to say, I’ve become a total (and proud) K/L perv (not that I really care much, being honest… the only thing I try to avoid is reading porn at work!). So... what's your personal experience with smut?

Anyway, here some questions to ponder...

*What are your favorite K/L kinks?
(Oh, this is really easy… I love with passion infidelicious --I am not a fan of infidelity per se, but cheating with the love of your life? That’s another matter entirely. Also, I really like rough sex and tattoos. And sex in public places. And Lee being jerked off :D. Mmmh, I guess I am easy! lol).

*Which are your favorite porny stories?

*Do you think K/L smut is vanilla?
(personally, I think so! But I am happy in the K/L vanilla-ish porn, even though some more "imaginative" stories are always appreciated ;P)

*How do you envision Lee and Kara sexual life? Rough, hard and dirty? Slow and sweet? (is that possible? *g*) Both?

*And a kinda off topic question, but I am curious to know what you all think about this… Do you believe that Lee and Kara’s night on NuCap was their *only* time together? (because frankly, no matter what canon theoretically says, I can’t believe it!).

Boy, have I had a crappy, crappy day! Best way to get rid of the bad tasted in my mouth is to check in at my fav community and hang out for a bit. Anyone have anything to cheer me up? *g*

Okay, on to today's topic:

What are your favorite K/L kinks?

I had to ease myself into the kink stuff (no pun intended, heh), but I'm with those of you who commented that you'd like the story as long as it's well written. For me, nothing ruins it more than K & L being OOC. As long as it's THEM, I'll read it and love it!


*Which are your favorite porny stories?

Most of what I really like has been mentioned above. I haven't seen this one mentioned, but it's hilarious. It's smutty AND it kinda takes a gentle jab at some of the bad, cliche fic that's out there:

*Do you think K/L smut is vanilla?
Maybe. Sometimes? I don't know. Let's define vanilla, shall we? To me, vanilla means pure & boring and I don't think our pilots are capable of that. I actually don't like fic that paints them that way. Again, it would be OOC and I don't gravitate to those fics at all. They don't affect me. I don't think Starbuck could be vanilla to save her life and as much as Apollo has a mile long stick up his ass, you know - you just KNOW - that underneath all those rules and regulations, there is a passionate, strong, manly, manly man lurking and waiting to be unleashed.

*How do you envision Lee and Kara sexual life? Rough, hard and dirty? Slow and sweet? (is that possible? *g*) Both?
Definitely both. I think their passion is too much to contain though and even when they're slow and sweet, it's more like smoldering, dragged out slow and sweet.

*Do you think the night on NuCap was their one and only time?
Unfortunately, yes. This was another RDM/writer fail for me. They made the one and only frak look so ... tame. And I think it would've been anything but. I mean Lee certainly didn't "look" like he was upsetting any apple carts! It was written and unfortunately acted out in a very pedestrian way. Their first time would've been, should've been, full of fireworks, groping, panting, oh-my-gods-I've-waited-years-for-this hot sex and it was kinda ... eh. I mean, at least they showed us something, but still. The scene in the raptor on the algae planet was way hotter than the NC frak, IMHO.

Ah ... feel much better now.
