This is total brilliance! Of course, Jamie's acting method is to respond to the impulse in the moment (see the "whiskey rant" podcast Dec 06). This entire scene is horse!puckey so what's Jamie to do ??? - there's nothing that makes any emotional coherence for a man who "keeps one story in my head all day long" aka Lee's story. What the frak is this guy Lee saying or feeling? Nothing Jamie can wrap his head around, I bet.
