The thing is, some of us remember fandom before this comm, and some joined just after the finale, and some have only just discovered the show...and just about every time I read the comments on this site I find new and unfamiliar faces (by faces, I of course mean usernames). So I propose...(drumroll please)...a friending meme!
Now, I've just taught myself how to do this code box thing so let's hope it works. Anyway, you can copy and paste the following code into your comments.

Favorite character(s): Kara, Lee, Helo, Laura...maybe Baltar. Mostly just Kara though.

Favorite scene: The "I'm a screw-up" scene.
Other fandoms: Jossverse, Doctor Who, Chuck, Lost, Glee, Community, etc. But BSG is my primary fandom, in that I talk about it incessantly.
What do you post on your journal? fic, rambling, rambling about fic, fangirly things.
Three random facts about you: I cheat at solitaire. I like hiking. I was named after a Beatles song.
If you could meet any person (dead, alive, real, fictional) who would you choose? I change my answer to this question all the time, but for now I'll say Ursula K. LeGuin, in the hopes that some of her awesome would rub off on me.

What got you into BSG/Kara&Lee? My housemate got me into BSG in my junior year of college. I realized I was a K/L shipper when it got to LDYB2 and all of a sudden Kara and Sam were married and I screamed at the TV.
Favorite character(s): Kara, Lee, Helo, Baltar, Caprica Six, Tigh, Ellen, Leoben (shut up!!), Cottle
Favorite episode: either Colonial Day or Downloaded
Favorite scene: Kara and head!Daddy on the piano playing the cylon song.

What do you post on your journal? Just fanfic I've written. The most recent stuff is all Kara/Lee. Before that there is some Sherlock Holmes stuff, and quite a lot of Harry Potter stuff about Snape. And a few random little snippets, like a Simon character study from Firefly.

What got you into BSG/Kara&Lee? My husband and I knew it was something we'd like to watch, but we were watching too many shows when it premiered, so we saved it to eventually watch on DVD if the reviews were good. Watched the whole series in 39 days in January/February of this year. The miniseries got me into Kara/Lee. The neverending handshake of you're-not-deadness. I started 'shipping right then, not knowing if they were canon or a figment of my imagination.
Favorite character(s): Kara is my #1, followed immediately by Lee. I also grew to love Baltar and Tigh immensely.
Favorite episode: I have to pick ONE? I guess UBEX, but I could go KLG part 1.
Favorite scene: I'm going to second Shah of Blah on the "I'm a screw-up" scene.
Other fandoms: Jossverse, Castle, Community, House, Big Bang Theory. I'm only active here and I mainly lurk in Castle on LJ.
What do you post on your journal? Random RL stuff, fanfic, rants, squee, not often.
Three random facts about you: 1) I was a volunteer firefighter for a few years during college. 2) I used to make decent money as a magician for birthday parties and larger events. 3) I worked for a lighting and production company after college as a second/third job and did lighting/sound for ridiculously extravegant weddings and events in the Newport Mansions.
If you could meet any person (dead, alive, real, fictional) who would you choose? Stephen Hawking, but I'd probably just feel stupid. :)
Anything else you'd like to share? I read physics and history books for fun. I have a 5 year old daughter about to start Kindergarten (!). I play Rock Band (bassist/backup drummer) at least once a week with my husband and either my sister or one of our friends; we've bought A LOT of downloaded tracks since RB1 came out. I play real guitar, too, but that skill is getting rusty with all the toy guitar work. I wear the toolbelt in my family, although he's learning. :) I wrote and home-recorded a bunch of angsty songs after a bad breakup in my 20s.

What got you into BSG/Kara&Lee? My BFF bugged me for four years to watch. When I did, I shotgunned for a couple of weeks and moved on. It got stuck in my brain and then I re-watched the entire series again and I was hopelessly lost in the BSG-verse. I discovered LJ and my world was rocked. Like whoa.

What got you into BSG/Kara&Lee? I think it was through my father. We often exchange science fiction book and TV recs, and I'm fairly sure he's the one who tagged this.
Favorite character(s): Lee, Kara, Helo, Romo. Sometimes Roslin.
Favorite episode: Just one? Uh...possibly "Kobol's Last Gleaming." But ask me tomorrow and it will probably change.
Favorite scene: Lee facing down his father and the president near the end of "Bastille Day."
Other fandoms: Stargate, mainly. I occasionally dabble in Firefly, Criminal Minds, and Supernatural on the side.
What do you post on your journal? Fic, the odd icon post, and a bit about random things I'm doing in real life. Lately real life has consisted of travel and developing a course on contemporary sociological theory.

What got you into BSG/Kara&Lee? I’m old school sci fi: novels, movies, series. Heinlein, Farmer and Silverberg were some of my faves back in the day and my best friend R and I used to watch Dr. Who and Star Trek obsessively in high school. He was the one who incessantly suggested I watch BSG, but I insisted I wanted to wait until the end of the series. When I finally watched it (in a month) I was absolutely in love with it. It was all the things I loved about Sci Fi, and an amazingly epic love story to boot.
Favorite character(s): Kara first and foremost because she is absolutely AMAZING, then Lee (as he pertains to Kara), then Adama (because Kara loves him), then Sam (because Kara marries him)... you get the picture. One of my favourites to write, however, is Leoben... but my Leoben is a hell of a lot nastier than in canon. And THAT is just a fun concept to explore.
Favorite episode: Unfinished Business. I love the back forth and the backstory reveal... *sigh* and angst... I’m a sucker for that.
Favorite scene: “I missed you.” “I missed you too...”
Other fandoms: None. Life is too busy.
What do you post on your journal? Really just my fic or vids, though occasionally I’ll put some RL ramble about what’s going on with me, though I tend to always friends-lock that.
Three random facts about you: #1 I can bend my fingers backward. #2 I am passably fluent in French. #3 People who meet me invariably say “wow, you’re tall”. No, unlike Rachel, I’m not six feet, but apparently I just seem bigger in real life. It’s like I’ve been photocopied at 115%.
If you could meet any person (dead, alive, real, fictional) who would you choose? Sadly, I’d really just like to talk to my dad again. There isn’t a single day since he died that I don’t see something and think “Oh, I should tell Dad about that.” If I absolutely HAD to choose someone else, I’d probably go talk to George Gordon, Lord Byron. I just think he’d be great fun to hang with. Mad, bad and dangerous to know sounds pretty exciting to me. You know he’d totally ship Starbuck.

What got you into BSG/Kara&Lee? Mainly osmosis - my ex-boyfriend was a HUGE BSG fan already when we met, and he began watching episodes in reruns on the Space channel every night. I got into the series through Kara, who is still my absolute favourite character, and the episode "The Farm". I can't remember how exactly my obsession with K/L started, but I believe it had something to do with my first viewing of "Scar". Suffice it to say, before long, I was hooked. ;)
Favorite character(s): Kara Thrace (favourite EVER BSG character, no contest), Lee Adama, Sam Anders, Karl "Helo" Agathon, Anastasia Dualla
Favorite episode: Act of Contrition/You Can't Go Home Again
Favorite scene: The last about fifteen minutes of "Crossroads, Part II" were amazing for me. I went into the episode completely unspoiled, and literally could not speak from shock for about a half hour afterwards. :D I have a ton of other favourite scenes from other episodes, but that's one of the ones that stands out most in my mind.

Other fandoms: Actually never heard of fandom until BSG but I did buy Le Femme Nikita for my daughter to watch after I saw she loved BSG as that has a similar angst filled relationship. I loved Le Femme Nikita!
What do you post on your journal: I just got this account to comment on other peoples journal’s. I did create a blog years ago called “All Fooked Up” but got bored and never posted in it.
Three random facts about you: I have a bumper sticker on my car that says “You say I’m a bitch like it’s a bad thing”; I am writing a book called “Good Enough, the Chronicles of an Underachiever”; I send out the funniest Christmas letters ever with random facts such as, “Good news, Andie got released from prison this year and she’s finally stopped cutting herself!” just to spite all those who send me nauseating ones about how perfect their life is.
If you could meet any person who would you choose? Hmmm … that’s a toughie … maybe Ayn Rand to discuss my favorite book ever, “Atlas Shrugged” or some historical figure although there are too many to name!
Anything else you’d like to share: I don’t work. I have nothing but time. I’m incredibly spoiled and I refuse to do anything that I don’t like to do so nothing ever gets done around here … life’s too short … my husband and three kids think I’m the most ridiculous person on earth. We gave everybody in my family callsigns after BSG and mine is “Fudgesicle”. My daughters are “Master Chief” and “Dark Lord”, my son’s is “Chex Mix” and my husbands is “Potato”. I totally relate to Kara and have even gotten in a fist fight! I took the name Koolaidmom because there have always been millions of kids at our house because it's so chill around here!
