Alright you lot, for today I have something a little different.  The thing is, some of us remember fandom before this comm, and some joined just after the finale, and some have only just discovered the show...and just about every time I read the comments on this site I find new and unfamiliar faces (by faces, I of course mean usernames).  So I propose...(drumroll please)...a friending meme!

Now, I've just taught myself how to do this code box thing so let's hope it works.  Anyway, you can copy and paste the following code into your comments.

What got you into BSG?: My daughter, Sophomore at Duke University, harassed the rest of us until we couldn’t take it anymore and we finally relented and watched the mini-series. Then my husband fell in love with Boomer and we were hooked.
Favorite characters: Kara, Lee, Helo, Sharon
Favorite episode: Unfinished Business
Favorite scene: Extended brig scene
Other fandoms: Actually never heard of fandom until BSG but I did buy Le Femme Nikita for my daughter to watch after I saw she loved BSG as that has a similar angst filled relationship. I loved Le Femme Nikita!
What do you post on your journal: I just got this account to comment on other peoples journal’s. I did create a blog years ago called “All Fooked Up” but got bored and never posted in it.
Three random facts about you: I have a bumper sticker on my car that says “You say I’m a bitch like it’s a bad thing”; I am writing a book called “Good Enough, the Chronicles of an Underachiever”; I send out the funniest Christmas letters ever with random facts such as, “Good news, Andie got released from prison this year and she’s finally stopped cutting herself!” just to spite all those who send me nauseating ones about how perfect their life is.
If you could meet any person who would you choose? Hmmm … that’s a toughie … maybe Ayn Rand to discuss my favorite book ever, “Atlas Shrugged” or some historical figure although there are too many to name!
Anything else you’d like to share: I don’t work. I have nothing but time. I’m incredibly spoiled and I refuse to do anything that I don’t like to do so nothing ever gets done around here … life’s too short … my husband and three kids think I’m the most ridiculous person on earth. We gave everybody in my family callsigns after BSG and mine is “Fudgesicle”. My daughters are “Master Chief” and “Dark Lord”, my son’s is “Chex Mix” and my husbands is “Potato”. I totally relate to Kara and have even gotten in a fist fight! I took the name Koolaidmom because there have always been millions of kids at our house because it's so chill around here!

Yep. It's me. I have used that user name since my kids got AIM a million years ago! Thanks for saying hi! This community seems pretty friendly although I have absolutely nothing to compare it to. I keep screwing up these posts because I forgot to log in on my computer ( I mostly read on my iPad but it's a pain to type on).

Get back to work on that story! Just kidding

Howard Roark is my favorite character. As a matter of fact my daughter and her friends have made a list of the top 25 favorite male fictional characters ever and he is on my list!

LOL - not to worry... chpt 49 is 80% complete, chpt 50 is 100% complete and chpt 51 is still just in handwriting from my mental notation at 2 in the morning, but I'm writing now.

LOL - I'm playing with a tight time frame so Chance has some things that need to get done before Lee does his thing... even though clearly, Lee is more fun to write, so I wrote his chapter first. That's how it happens... Abstract random writing at work. :>)

Michael and Nikita. I watched it on tv back in the day but just bought the DVDs. I loved Peta Wilson. Michael was such a badass. My husband and I still say "Josephine"
