Alright you lot, for today I have something a little different.  The thing is, some of us remember fandom before this comm, and some joined just after the finale, and some have only just discovered the show...and just about every time I read the comments on this site I find new and unfamiliar faces (by faces, I of course mean usernames).  So I propose...(drumroll please)...a friending meme!

Now, I've just taught myself how to do this code box thing so let's hope it works.  Anyway, you can copy and paste the following code into your comments.

1) I'm a sci-fi nerd, born and bred. My dad got me into Star Trek when I was just five years old.

This is so cool. My dad did the same thing. The original series was just starting reruns when I was about five. :D

Nice! :D Dad tried me on the original series as well, a little later on, but by then I was a bit of a Next Generation snob and didn't like Kirk et al nearly as much, heh. I did get into Voyager in my last year of high school, and looking back on it now, I can see that my preferred OTP - Paris/Torres - was kind of a proto-Kara/Lee. Hee. I also shipped Picard/Crusher on Next Gen pretty much before I knew what shipping was ... ahh, good times. :D
