Alright you lot, for today I have something a little different.  The thing is, some of us remember fandom before this comm, and some joined just after the finale, and some have only just discovered the show...and just about every time I read the comments on this site I find new and unfamiliar faces (by faces, I of course mean usernames).  So I propose...(drumroll please)...a friending meme!

Now, I've just taught myself how to do this code box thing so let's hope it works.  Anyway, you can copy and paste the following code into your comments.

What got you into BSG/Kara&Lee? I am a big sci-fi nerd so I thought that I should give it a try. First time was a fail. I didn't even make it through the mini, Then, I tried it again a couple months later and I was hooked. Kara/Lee happened after Kara's Leegasm and I was shocked by how much I wished that it was Lee instead of Gaius. I found out I was shipping then without even knowing it..
Favorite character(s): I fell for Kara first. Lee grew on me though and now it's hard to choose between the two of them. I also love Tigh.. he's so funny.
Favorite episode: Miniseries!
Favorite scene: "Except me"/"Especially you" Six of One Brig Scene.
Other fandoms: Firefly, Trueblood, X-Men (Comics not movieverse)
What do you post on your journal? fandom ramblings, fanfic recs, some RL stuff
Three random facts about you: 1) I have a scar on my chin that I got when I was four on a seesaw (aka teeter totter). 2) I love the beach, but I hate the ocean. 3) I adore travelling, especially to new places.
If you could meet any person (dead, alive, real, fictional) who would you choose? Gosh... Jane Austen, maybe. I don't know I've always wanted to meet my paternal grandfather because he died before I was born. I think we could of been pals.

I've been stalking you for a while mostly cuz of your fanfic recs *hangs head in shame*

Things we have in common: I have a scar on my chin from swinging between two banquets at a restaurant and of course, falling off. I love the beach and hate the ocean too (am in fact, very afraid of it). I ADORE Jane Austen and would've been camped outside her house as her personal groupie/slave if I'd lived in the same era.

Shannon, I have this friendsfic in my head (based on your username, I think) in which you are a multi-linguist who works for the U.N. When you were just out of high school you spent time in the Peace Corps, building schools and digging wells in sub-Saharan Africa. Since then, you've been working towards the betterment of rights for women around the world, and through your work in the UN have met Angelina Jolie. (She calls you on a regular basis for advice on movie roles and to catch up on the Lee / Kara shipper gossip.) Though your work as a translator keeps you very busy, you still make sure to put aside time to write - both fanfic and real fiction. Your unfinished manuscript is saved to the desktop of your computer and you pick away at it whenever you have time. :>)
