Hello fellow shippers! My name is Cosette and I will be your DPP host for this week. My fabulous predecessors have done a wonderful job over these past weeks, and I hope to keep the fun going! :D

We have already discussed our favorite moments, scenes, fics, vids… And I don’t know about all of you, but personally, when it comes to K/L related stuff, I am inherently conflicted when it comes to choose a favourite anything. Of course I have my preferences –I could probably pick my 5 favorite scenes and my 10 most beloved fics or come up with a list of, say, 15 songs that scream pilots to me; but when I have to cut down the list to one, the task becomes almost impossible. What I intend for today’s post, though, is to make you choose... Hence my question is, if you had to make a choice and pick one, ONLY ONE, which would be...

I know this is a really tough call, there are so many wonderful stories out there, but you probably have a story that holds a special place in your heart for a bunch of different reasons… Maybe it was the first good one you read, maybe it’s the story that made you cry harder or touched you in a way you didn’t expected, or explored a certain aspect of Lee and Kara’s relationship in a way you found utterly satisfying --or who knows, maybe it is the smuttiest smut you’ve ever read :)).

*Needless to say, feel free to answer to those questions you feel like. Also, I’d love to hear yours “why’s” about pretty much all your choices. After all, the reasoning behind an election is as important as the choice in itself (and I am that nosy and chatty, hehe).

Ok, and here some of my choices...

*Your favorite K/L scene. And why?

The brig scene/extended brig scene of “Six of One”. Why? Because it is the most gorgeously romantic scene between Kara and Lee in the entire series. Period. And I don’t mind that the Kara we got to see in that moment is her non-human version, because right then she was still every bit the Kara I knew and loved. Love the way they are so tentative at first, how Kara goes there because she has to ("I never could say no to anything." "Except Me." "Especially You." Gah!), how they do their handshake thing and say each other’s full names. And the kiss. How Lee kisses ever inch of her face and give her all the reassurance she needs. Love the maturity and honesty of that moment. And their faces kill me. Such pain and longing and comfort... all mingled. And I adore the extended scene because Lee gives Kara the Aurora figurine as the symbol of his faith in her, and he makes her hold onto it until she comes back to him. Like she always did. Sniff.

*Your favorite pic of them? (evidence would be muchly appreciated!)

That’s a tough choice, but… maybe this one. I could stare at this pic –and those raptor scene gifs—all day long and never get tired. So much sensuality and longing. GUH. Best chemistry that ever graced our TV screen.



*Your favorite K/L fic?
Right now, I think "The Reality and Immortality of Things" (http://users.livejournal.com/wisteria_/921546.html) by wisteria_ , which amuses me to some extent because it’s a post-finale AU and I am Ms. Canon Girl and a sucker for anything pre-mini, but… stranger things have happened ;). The story is poignant and beautiful and wonderfully written, but the real reason I absolutely adore this fic, selfishly, is that it gave me the closure for Lee and Kara –especially the latter— in a moment I desperately needed to make peace with the characters and the show. It was a very cathartic read and no other fic has ever made me cry as hard as this. The story is absolutely brilliant and a true homage to pilots.

*Your favorite K/L song?
I guess “The Special Two” by Missy Higgins. Quintessentially pilots.

*Your favorite K/L vid?
"I am Not Dead" (http://dualbunny.livejournal.com/118215.html) by dualbunny. And yes, it’s a Kara vid but the piece as a whole –and the shippy bit-- is so perfect, I had to choose this one. I get really emotional every time I watch it, especially when I am in one of my BSG moods…

Wow, okay, so I went and watched "I am Not Dead" and just spent an HOUR over there rewatching (aka squeeing, crying, grinning) and telling DB why I loved it so. It is my new favorite!

I love you, Kara-twin, and agree with your comments on the "Six of One" scene...and I obviously now agree with your vid choice. I still need to read wisteria's fic, and I am sure I will love it since you approve of it, but not tonight, girlie, I must sleep!!

Aww, thanks for the rec! That story was just SO enjoyable to write because I didn't stress out over it like I do with everything else I write. As corny as it sounds, I just started the story and let it go wherever it went, though with Elly's marvelous original as a vague guide. I'm thrilled that you've continued to enjoy it, even after the past year. :)

Warning: My answers are pretty Kara-focused. I've been missing her lately so that's how these go today. Ask on a different day and I would have totally different answers. There are too many favorites for Kara and Lee. :-)

1. Favorite Kara/Lee scene. Raptor outmaking. I wrote about it here (http://community.livejournal.com/sasa_hq/95193.html?thread=841689#t841689) and my feelings about that scene haven't changed one bit. :-D

2. Favorite Kara moment. Favorite?! Wow. This isn't my favorite, favorite moment. I know others will disagree but I love the moment when the painting turns into the basestar and Kara laughs. I felt it was the first time I had seen even a glimpse of the real Kara in . . . months. It made my heart happy. She was in there somewhere and she was happy and right for a moment. It makes me misty now but at the time I really was glad to see my girl, even briefly. I love to hear her laugh.

3. Favorite Lee moment. Back to Eye of Jupiter. When he flips out on Sam. He's all sweaty and angry and he has loved Kara longer than you! How dare you! Gosh, folks I tell you I got shivers. I thought Lee might say more. I hoped Lee might say more. And both men are so . . . sweaty. And gosh, Lee just loves her so much it's like ready to spill out of him, he's so worried.

4. Favorite Kara/lee pic. This pic (http://ecsperiment.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/leekara.jpg) is a promo pic but I like it because Kara looks so vulnerable in it. It reminds me of when she asked Lee if he'd leave Dee if she left Sam. It's rare to catch Kara like this but I think her love for him is pretty obvious too, she just reins it in a lot. I wonder what she was saying to him here.

5. Favorite fic. Again, favorite?! That's like impossible to choose. But I will choose Never Be Warm Again (http://stars-like-dust.livejournal.com/143353.html) by stars_like_dust and bantha_fodder. This was one of the very first Kara/Lee fics I read in 2005. I printed it out! Hee. It has stood the test of time too. It's fic like this that brought me to LJ and here I remain. :-)

6. Favorite Kara/Lee song. I'm liking Landslide (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM7-PYtXtJM) by Fleetwood Mac these days for them. It reminds me of part 3 of my story, Circuit, where I gave Kara and Lee a long, happy life complete with grandchildren. I so feel they are beyond the series now. When I think about Kara and Lee, just so many years have gone by and they are still together. Somewhere.

7. Favorite K/L vid. This is a tough one as I haven't been watching K/L vids lately since someday I'd like to make my own. (Don't wait for it, it will be a long while.) Hmm. Today I wanted to link to Fear by Lilith but the link is sadly gone. :-( I wanted to rec a vid that maybe people haven't seen and I haven't recced in a while. Hmm. I love this one for K/L especially because of the subtext of Stevie and Lindsey and their failed romance. That live performance video has just a hint of piloty eye frak, or at the very least stolen glances and attempts to not hold eye contact.

Your favorite K/L scene. And why?

UB - I miss you, I miss you too, scene. Maybe I love it so much because the entire episode wrecked me and I was already in tears so when they got to this final exchange I was powerless against it. They'd been apart for seventeen months and had beaten each other bloody and were so full of hurt that the 'miss yous' were more powerful than any exchange of love declarations could ever be. It was one of their rare, pure and honest moments where their souls had been cracked wide open.

Your favorite Kara/Starbuck moment. And why?

When she confesses her part in Zak's death to Papadama. I love Kara's cockiness and swagger but it's that broken and damaged girl underneath that makes me fiercely loyal to her.

Your favorite Lee/Apollo moment. And why?

In Revelations when he takes care of his father and then goes and punches Tigh in the face. Why? I guess because Lee so rarely steps up and takes charge for personal reasons, (it's always about some intangible ideal or following the rules) that it was just refreshing to see him being affected personally by something and acting upon it.

Your favorite pic of them?

I have so many faves that I just had to force myself to pic one and not change my mind. Why this one? It's just so angsty and hot and Lee is just so very close to her you can feel the tension between them. Plus I love the contrast of Lee's dark hair against Kara's bright gold. And they're both half naked!

Your favorite K/L fic?

Yes, this is tough! Despite the vast amount of fic I've read I still choose Possibilty: Different (http://hackaddict.livejournal.com/7315.html) by hackaddict as my favourite. I love it because it's a self-contained story exclusively about their relationship and while other characters are mentioned Kara and Lee are the only two in the story. It has perfect UST, build up, a little angst, sexy smut and a satisfying ending and is a perfect length (under 30,000 words). It's au but completely plausible for the types of lives Lee and Kara might live if the war never happened. And I possibly find Lee hotter in this fic than in actual canon.

Your favorite K/L song?

I don't really have one so I have to dig around a bit. Hmm. I made a vid to Before I'm Dead (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZPUzEcuFgM) by the Kidney Thieves years ago and I think it's a pretty good fit considering how the show ended. Kara may have died but she packed in a whole lotta life with Lee before she did.

Your favorite K/L vid?

Wow, this is hard too. I love so many vids! But the most awesome would have to be Speed Racer (http://boom-queen.livejournal.com/77191.html) by the fabulous boom_queen. It's available for d/load which I HIGHLY recommend and it's definitely NOT WORK SAFE. Yeah, you heard me!

Aw, I love that moment too. It was the perfect ending for a perfect episode (and I love that the exchange is not necessarily romantic).

I really like Lee in "Revelations", I love how he takes charge, seeing Adama utterly broken. I guess Adama was always clueless about his son --and I dislike him a little bit for that--, but that moment was a lovely father-son interaction, the proof of how much their relationhip had grown since the mini.

And I possibly find Lee hotter in this fic than in actual canon.

Heee. Alpha!Lee in this fic is super hot --and I like Kara's characterization too, a little bit softer and vulnerable. And yup, the sexual tension --and the actual sex-- is great.

*writhes with indecision*  The briefest of scenes when Kara and Lee are sitting by the fire in Home. They're so comfortable and close there. Two friends, grateful for each other, sitting and talking quietly. I'd love to know what they were chatting about. Is there a fic about this?

Gods, this is hard. I'm going to have to say Kara's speech in Scar - she shows the vulnerable side in front of the crew and frakking remembers a lot of names. She is lovely there.

When Lee comforts Adama after the cylon!tigh reveal in Revelations and then he marches to the airlock and punches Tigh in the face. Breaks my heart and makes me proud.

The briefest of scenes when Kara and Lee are sitting by the fire in Home

So interesting that you didn't choose one of their big scenes. But to tell you the truth, I fell in love with K/L because of little moments like this. I think Home!Pilots are my favorite pilots ever, their siblings/buddycops dynamic plus all the childish flirting in those eps is utterly adorable. They seem so hopeful and young. Sigh.

The pic!! I LOVE that one, especially how cocky he looks and the way he invades her personal space (and I love how Kara pats Lee's shoulder afterwards, it's so casual and intimate at the same time).

*Your favorite K/L scene. And why?
I'll go with the fight in KLG1. Maybe that makes me a weird shipper, but I loved their angst and dysfunction so much, and it's the first scene where I really knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was a shipper.

*Your favorite Kara/Starbuck moment. And why?
I was thinking about saying the names in Scar, but sci-fi-shipper already said that one, so I'll go with another favorite: the moment, in Colonial Day, when she whacks the guy with her cane in the bar fight. I have a ridiculous amount of love for that scene. Why? Because she whacks him with her cane! What more do you need?

*Your favorite Lee/Apollo moment. And why?
I'm going to say the part where he almost cries on the phone with the president in YCGHA. It makes me all wibbly.

*Your favorite K/L fic?
Supply and Demand (http://sangga.livejournal.com/6621.html) by sangga. I've read this story so many times since the first time I encountered it, years ago. I think it's just astonishingly well crafted, and I notice something new and wonderful every time. But really, the way Kara's and Lee's perspectives about life after the end of the worlds converge and diverge, and the way they fight with each other and support each other...ah, it's too good!

*Your favorite K/L song?
I have more Kara songs than Kara/Lee songs, but for K/L I'll go with Dimming of the Day (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VWS92QJW) by Richard and Linda Thompson. I wrote a fic to it once, and it is one of my all-time favorite love songs.

*Your favorite K/L vid?

Most of my favorite Kara scenes are in S1-2, before they turned her into a victim. It's really hard to pick one, but if I had to, it's probably the one where she saves Lee in the mini.

*Your favorite Lee/Apollo moment. And why? The scene in TSAR where he listen's to Romo's speech. The pain is just palpable.

*Your favorite pic of them? (evidence would be muchly appreciated!) Sorry, don't have photobucket. I love the Scar outtakes that came out after the finale.

I have a few, but this one is really special because it is the first one I read and it really got me into K/L fic. And this is how the relationship should have gone and it would have been interesting to watch.

Hehe... I know it's hard (impossible task, maybe? ;P)

Most of my favorite Kara scenes are in S1-2, before they turned her into a victim.

Mmmh. I get what you mean about Kara's "victimization" in S3, but I honestly never saw her as a victim, mainly because she never acted as a one or an object of pity, even though it's undeniable that the character darkened a lot.

And I adore Intra, it's a K/L classic (one of the first fics I read when I discovered fandom and definitely one of my top 10). So sensual and evocative. And "The Ledge" is fantastic, too.

One is the loneliest number...

*Your favorite K/L scene. And why?
I don't know why, but the first scene that comes to mind is in the shooting range, when the oxygen starts getting "rerouted". They're goofy and relaxed. There's the tension of how they might escape (I'm willing to look past the SCIENCE! issue of how do you fire a combustable weapon in minimal oxygen and have the bullet fly with enough force to break the safety glass. I will consider the explosive round to be self-contained for space vacuum reasons). There's no baggage and angst in that one moment. *sigh*


*Your favorite Kara/Starbuck moment. And why?
I'm gonna' split hairs here and do one for Kara and one for Starbuck. For Kara, when she's trying to reassure Lee after Resurrection Ship 2 when he wanted to die. For Starbuck, the scene when she ends up slamming Lee's viper to push him back to Galactica in the mini- sums her callsign persona up for me somehow.


*Your favorite Lee/Apollo moment. And why?
Without question, Lee's speech during Baltar's trial. I don't really have a favorite Apollo moment, as he was always Lee in the good moments, for me. :)

Favorite K/L scene and why

The water fight on Cloud Nine. It's quintessential Pilots for me. Everything isn't happy and shiny, but they can put aside the burdens for just a little while and help each other find a simple and real joy that I don't think they ever really had with anyone else, at least not after Zak died.

Your favorite Kara/Starbuck moment. And why?

Today it's the final scene between Kara and Leoben in the Exodus arc.

Your favorite Lee/Apollo moment. And why?

The speech during the Baltar trial in Crossroads. It's that one moment where he finally lets go of everything without worrying about what he's going to lose...because he's already lost it all.

Your favorite K/L fic?

Gods, this is so hard!!! But if I'm going to pick one fic that I never get tired of, it's going to be Icarus (http://users.livejournal.com/wisteria_/820354.html) by wisteria_. Kara still flies into the storm in Maelstrom, but she does it because she is at peace with everything, and she knows that she'll come back. And the back and forth between Lee in the present, and Kara leading up to her final flight is wonderful.

I am so torn when it comes to choose a favorite Kara moment... But the Kara and Leoben interaction in the New Caprica arc is powerful to say the least. Feisty, broken Kara. And I think I agree with you about Lee's fave moment, his speech in Crossroads is just incredible.

Love "Icarus" too! (well, all wisteria_'s stuff, really). Now I feel like re-reading this one, I read it a long time ago!

And I have to check out "Unfinish Business", I am not sure if I've ever heard it! :)

*Your favorite K/L scene. And why?
It’s so hard to pick only one…I’d like to say the “I don’t care if you died or whatever” scene in season 4 but I’ll go with another one: the scene on Pegasus (or Ressurection Ship 1?) when Kara asks Lee to help her on the assassination of Cain. Although he doesn’t agree it is the best solution and is deeply disappointed in his father’s decision, he won’t let her go through it alone. The whole speech about trust and the hug afterwards…I love it!


Your favorite Kara/Starbuck moment. And why?
So difficult … In the mini, after she hears about Lee’s death… when she goes to her locker and prays for his soul. It’s a very short scene, but it says so much about her personality… she is strong and fragile at the same time, values religion a lot (but in a private way), and the importance Lee has in her life (even in face of the destruction of the colonies and the deaths of friends and co-workers with whom she had much more contact on her everyday life, her thoughts go to Lee ).

*Your favorite Lee/Apollo moment. And why?
There are so many… But I love the end of Bastille Day, back in season 1, when Lee stood up to both his father and the president while justifying his deal with the prisoners on the Astral Queen . It was a defining moment – he wouldn’t pick his father’s side nor the president’s .He is his own man and he tries to do what’s right, even if it is unpopular and won’t be easily understood.

*Your favorite K/L fic?
There are so many wonderful stories out there, but my favorite complete fiction is Killing with kindness by Loch Ness. It has so much angst, and the characterization is so good. I felt so sorry for Lee. But it was so nice to see him finding his way again, coming to terms with everything that had happened, his estrangement from Kara. Sharon is also a very interesting character in this story that has mystery, murder and a deep discussion about what makes us human after all. (And a happy ending :D ). I also have a favorite WIP . It is Almost out of the Sky by gwassh0ppa (http://gwassh0ppa.livejournal.com/). Earth, 2012. Three years after arriving on Earth, Lee takes a break from his life in Washington D.C. and comes home to his family, friends... and Kara. AU post UBex. The characterization is head on. (Does anyone know if the author is still around and planing to finish it? It hasn't been updated since January :(

Me too! That hug is so wonderful! (And I love that is all about their friendship).

That scenes gets me every time. It made me realize the depth of her feelings (not necessarily romantic) for Lee (and the folded picture... Gah!).

I think my favorite Lee ep is "Bastille Day". And that moment is quintessential Lee, it defines him --and the man he will become-- in every way (in fact, I see his speech in "Crossroads" an extension of this moment).

Love "Killing With Softness", it's one of my faves long fics. It's a BSG novel in itself (and a very good one, btw).

Does anyone know if the author is still around and planing to finish it? It hasn't been updated since January :(

I have no idea, but I really hope she will finish the story. I am hooked! :)

Favorite scene is when they're in the memorial hallway and Lee says "you're Kara and I'm Lee and that's all that matters." Just the look on K's face ... there's so much love there. It actually brought tears to my eyes.

*Your favorite Kara/Starbuck moment. And why?

Definitely the scene in the mini when she rams her Viper into Lee's and brings him home. It just totally establishes her as the brave, rash, out-of-the-box Starbuck that she is in my mind.

Favorite Kara moment for me is actually when she sees Helo on Caprica. There's just such unadulterated joy on her face finding her friend alive and breathing. Second favorite would be the "Are we okay" moment.


*Your favorite Lee/Apollo moment. And why?

My favorite Lee moment is when Adama tells him that if it was him stuck on the planet, they would never leave. The look on his face is just priceless. All of a sudden, he is the little boy looking for his father's love.

Favorite Apollo moment is when he quits. I love how he stands up for himself and what he believes in. I always felt that the Lee/Apollo character arc was not fully developed and it became a bit one-dimensional for me as the series progressed. But, as soon as he was no longer Apollo, he actually turned more into Apollo. Don't know if that makes sense.

BTW, least favorite Lee/Apollo moment? Fat Lee telling Dee that he's proud to be working with her and calling her his wife. *gags*

Favorite K/L scene: Extended brig scene in Six of One. Their need and love and trust and support for each other is so incredibly palpable. He gives her the statue as a promise that she'll return to him. Sniff.

Favorite Kara scene: Killing the mutineers to save Lee on the Hangar Deck. Because it's all Starbuck's firepower/attitude, but it's Kara's heart beneath it all.

Favorite Lee scene: Comforting his father then making the truce in Revelations with D'Anna. President Leland, in charge and making a difference.

Favorite pic: My photobucket is down currently, so please see my icon. When he lifts her bloody face at the end of UB because he is so urgent to eyefrak her and you think they're going to kiss, but they just stare and stare until Kara smiles and laughs a little. Love that moment.

Favorite fic: I think this is the hardest to choose of all. Simulations by Daphnaea is my standard answer to this question, though I love all her fic an indescribable amount. I think in this one I love how relatively simple their lives are, and how, they don't just have fantastic chemistry right from the start but they start out as exactly what they are brother and brother's girlfriend. But this gorgeous friendship develops to a point where they have an imaginary world where it's just the two of them (Cadet Thrace and Cadet Adama taking on the Academy and the world!) and then the scene that always gets me is the drunken confession about Kara's past on the floor with the rain coming down and "You're not him." and "I know." SOB!

Favorite K/L song: At the moment Gravity by Sara Bareilles. All about how they are drawn to each other again and again and how she fears him bringing her down. Sigh.

Favorite vid: Boomqueen's Speed Racer. So hot, so funny. So much fun.

Favorite K/L song:
I'm from Brazil and, although I listen to plenty of American music, I really love what we do down here. Just the other day I felt like listening to an old band I really liked from the late 80's and there is this song that really made me think of Kara and Lee. The song is called "To be honest" and it says something like this:

"We both have the same flaws
We know everything there is to know about each other
We are suspects of the perfect crime
(... but perfect crimes leave no suspects)"

It makes me think of them because I believe it was obvious to everyone (except the Old Man) that they had such a powerful connection. Yet, they tried to deny it , especially to themselves.

My eternal love for UBEX is already known. My favorite is the "I missed you." "I missed you too." exchange.

I love that Kara initiates it (both the dance with Lee and being the first to admit missing each other). This scene was so honest and that gave me so much hope as a little K/L shipper wanting things to be right with the world and for K/L to work it all out and end up together. It was also still S3 so there was time for K/L to take that honesty and build on it.

**Your favorite Kara/Starbuck moment. And why?

Oh, Kara. I love you so much. Gah...I can't pick a fave. I think I loved her from the first moment I saw her so I will list my first "Kara sighting" as my favorite. My first love was Kara worn out and painting on the Demetrius, trying to figure out her path...b/c that was the first epi I watched. I must leave this question alone now or I will erase and rewrite until I've gone through every Kara/Starbuck moment in history (minus the Sam nonsense, but actually including the Leoben stuff b/c I think those interactions helped her figure herself out).

**Your favorite Lee/Apollo moment. And why?

I love me some Lee, but my favorite Lee moment is completely prejudiced by my love of animals. I adored Lee bringing Jake to Romo. <333 Lee is so good at everything he does, but he especially stands out when reading what other people need. The Lee/Jake/Romo/dead cat scene is just one example of Lee's way of trying to take care of everyone.

Hmmm...I think of them together in the memorial hall a lot. It's sweet and honest and at a point where they are accepting themselves and each other as whole individuals, faults and all.

Right now it's Bee's Borrowed Time...I am loving it so much. It's refreshing, amusing, honest, heart-breaking, and life affirming in a way that only pilots can be.

This one changes often. Right now I'm loving the Indigo Girls for them...maybe "Romeo and Juliet"...The Fray also has many a K/L song and "How to Save a Life" was one of the first vids I saw for K/L, so it's always reminiscent of pilots too.

I am virtually brand new to this fandom. To any fandom really. This is actually my first post but I feel like I need to tell the world how much I love these two characters. Their story is so beautiful and heartbreaking.

*Your favorite K/L scene. And why?

If I have to choose one for Apollo/Starbuck. I would say it's the scene in Pegasus when Apollo tells Starbuck to "take some pretty pictures of our cylon ship." and Starbuck's sultry "Copy that." Guh. Hot. Eye-frakking galore. Favorite Kara/Lee moment though would have to be the brig scene in Six of One. "Except me." "Especially you." Geez.. Kill my heart.

The scene where Kara and Helo are in Kara's old apartment in Valley of Darkness. I love their platonic friendship. Just loving and real. I love how Kara confesses that she fights because she doesn't know how to do anything else.

For my absolute favorite scene I would probably choose one of the ones mentioned above, but in the interests of sharing something a bit different, I will confess that one of my very favorite Kara/Lee moments is in an out-take. It's in the "Maelstrom" extras, and it's when Kara has freaked out on the hangar deck and yelled at the Chief, and Lee comes over and gets in her personal space and tells her she's out of line, being his usual CAG self. Then Kara looks at him with this beautiful vulnerable expression (she flashes this weak little smile) and tries to shrug it off: "You're right. I over-reacted." And then Lee says, so quiet and direct: "No. What's wrong?" I *love* that. I love that he can tell that something is really bothering her, and that he wants her to confide in him, and that he doesn't buy her efforts to act like she's fine. And I love that all that concern and care is so palpable between them even in this painful period when they've broken things off and are trying to learn to be just friends again.

*Your favorite Kara/Starbuck moment. And why?

I know this is an odd choice, but I've never loved her more than in the scene in "Someone to Watch Over Me" when she comes to visit the Agathons. She is so sweet with Hera - "They're really good stars" - and when she takes her father's music and leaves everything else from her old life, it's like this sad, sweet echo of the scene between her and Helo in her apartment on Caprica. I don't know, it just resonates with me; she's so lost, and so gentle at the same time. I love that vulnerability and quietness she sometimes shows, it makes her real to me.

*Your favorite Lee/Apollo moment. And why?

It's in Scar. "Starbuck. Are you OK?" Some days he can be petty and insecure, but on that day he was an absolute prince who sucked up whatever resentment and frustration he was feeling and gave her the support she needed to pull herself together and get back in the air.

*Your favorite pic of them? (evidence would be muchly appreciated!)

I don't have photos, but I love the one that I've seen in a few people's icons, where Lee is standing up straight, his right side in profile, while Kara leans in so close (right in his face) with a manic grin ~ they're both in their pilot tanks, I think. It is so joyful and intimate.

*Your favorite K/L fic?

This is a very tough choice, but if I could only have one, I think it would be "Polish the Stars" by shuschong (I'm sorry, I'm not sure I spelled the author's name correctly). It is utterly charming, and I love historian!Lee, and every single chapter knocks me over with some unexpected insight: I love Lee's observation that Kara doesn't like to be touched but that you'd never know it because she covers her fear by touching other people all the time - she initiates contact so that she'll be in control. Or the moment when he realizes that she thinks if he knows her better he'll like her less. Or the scene where he tells Kara his plan to pass flight training with the help of her "Viper jock wiles" while freaking out over her use of his toothbrush. It's just so great, it makes me smile every time I read it. It's also unfinished, which feels somehow appropriate for the two of them :)

When Kara disappeared into the wild blue yonder on nu!Earth. God, I was so impressed by how the poof was handled. Kudos, Ron et al. That was the perfect way to end the Kara/Lee relationship.

Out of so many ... when she comes back from the dead - and she is so shining climbing down from her viper and we are all holding our breath and Lee comes pounding across the deck, and without thought of who, or where, or why, or how ... Lee, our Lee, pushes everyone out of the way and GRABS HER and holds her for his own life has begun again - the air refilling his lungs, his heart beating again. And, Kara, not really knowing why, holds him, soothes him, "I know, me too" 's him.

Revelations - she is so freaked out by her discovery and she goes to find Lee. Has to tell him. He's the only one she can tell. But, then she sees him and knows something is wrong - and puts aside her own to be there for him.

In the Memorial Hall in IiaSoS, when he finds Kara and gives her his "I don't care... don't care" ... from Lee? Who could NOT understand Helo's love of Sharon to set ALL that aside for his love of Kara.

Right now, the "I missed you/I missed you too" UB moment. After so many episodes of tension and not knowing exactly what happened to get them there this episode was a breath of fresh air and after so much history is revealed to us, it's nice to see them on the same page and being pilots again.

*Your favorite Kara/Starbuck moment. And why?
Probably telling Adama about Zak. She's so vulnerable in that moment and it's probably the first time she's faced anger and resentment and disappointment from him. "Walk out of this room while you still can" gives me chills overtime.

*Your favorite Lee/Apollo moment. And why?
Controlling the Pegasus after Fisk gives him the con. The look on his face is precious and he's lost for one second but then takes awesome control.
