Hey guys, it's Friday!!! Woooooooooooooooooop!!!!

I've had an awesome week of fandom fun with all of you guys, we've talked about imaginary stuff, pilots set to music, pilots as other people and fics that make us click. We've swooned and squeed over Bamceps and the incredible bromance of Fassbender and Macavoy, we've reccomended our favourite fics and hopefully people have had the opportunity to read some things they haven't read before, and generally, I like to think, we've had an all-round good time. Thanks everyone for playing along, I've had a blast :) I've got one more post set up for tomorrow, but today is my last discussiony one, the weekend is something different.

So today I thought we'd talk about things we would have liked to see, missing scenes that never were sort of thing. Are there questions you think are unanswered? Are there moments that you wish we had been shown? And bear in mind this is not a fix-it, not a what would you have changed, I'm talking about scenes or conversations which have no overall change on canon or the outcome of the show, but that you feel would have made that episode better, made a later scene make more sense, or would just have really liked to have seen.

For instance -

I really wish that we had seen more of their interaction in Scar - I want to know what happened between them kissing in the rec room to stripping in the bunk room, and I know that it's fairly obvious what happened in the general sense, but I am greedy when it comes to pilots actually getting it on, and wish we had seen the whole sequence, seen how they reacted to the initial kiss, how they got themselves to the bunkroom, I just want MORE!

I also want to see more of the scene at the end of Resurrection Ship II where he drops the "I didn't want to come back" bomb, because I really want to know how she reacted to that, what she said. And I know that there's lots of really good fic that hypothesise the outcome, but obviously it became a point of estrangement between them given the following episodes, and I just would like to know what actually happened.

Probably THE most obvious: how they went from the whispered "I missed you"s in Unfinished Business to EoJ Raptor outmaking (and the eternal question: was the outmaking really all they did in that time?).

That, and a little filler on how they became friends after getting off that table in the Daybreak, Part 2 flashback - there was a long journey between that and the brig scene in the miniseries, and I'd have liked to see more of it than a photograph.

yeeees...this is a good one. I want this too! I cannot believe they would stop at outmaking, simply cannot, especially as they had already had sex, people don't go from having sex to just kissing and considering that an affair. But I would like to see how they got to that point.

Lords yes! Their relationship pre-mini should just be it's own show! Screw Blood and Chrome and the first Cylon war, I want to see Kara and Lee and Zak running around and playing pyramid and generally all being in love in a weird three-headed kind of way, and all kind of hating it but needing it and being simultaneously happy and miserable. They should make THAT show.

Oh, and I'm on board with wishing the camera had stayed with our pilots from the rec room to the bunkroom in Scar - all that hotness that didn't make it to the screen!

Other things I really wish we'd seen more of: pilots eyefrakking each other in the months between finding New Caprica and the UB flashbacks (you know it didn't just come out of nowhere, and during the dancing it looked like they'd stepped it up even MORE than usual) and - though I know it was only in Kara's head - the entire Leegasm sexing.

Your two ideas I am totally on board with, there would be something really interesting about watching the whole of Kara's fantasy, where it began in the proceedings, how the Lee in her brain would act. And yeah, anything from the time between the election and groundbreaking I would love to see, because there's just nothing there.

There was a deleted scene in Razor that I wish we'd seen more of. The idea of pilots helping each other work through their personal issues makes me happy because it speaks to a deeper friendship....

*sigh*



Also the idea of pilots going through life-and-death situations and the camaraderie of being soldiers together. I'm a sucker for that too.

GAH I still haven't watched that deleted scene! What is wrong with me!? To my Blu-rays I go!

And pilots being soldiery I would love to have seen more of, they work so well together in those situations :)

I never noticed before, but Kara cops a feel of Lee's chest. Watch how her fingers linger over his chest. Lee responds by puffing out his pecs magnifique, smiling the whole time. You can really see the movement because you've slowed down the gif. Her fingers stop right on top of his nipple. Sneakily sexy, oxygen-deprived pilots!

I think we're bordering on having almost as many gifs of this guy as pilots these days. Love you guys, but let's try to show a little more pilot love and a little less X-men love, K? ;)

I'd love to have seen that too, though I've always assumed the reason the writers didn't show it was because they had absolutely no idea how she'd react, which is kind of sad for Kara's characterisation.

I'd like to have seen what induced Kara to go off with Baltar on the night of Colonial Day - what happened between the start of the dance and what we see at the start of KLG.

Finally, I'd have loved to see some more of them in the Mutiny arc. They were just so kick-ass and awesome together in that set of episodes that more would have been brilliant.

YES! I was considering putting this, but then I got distracted, but yeah I would have loved to have seen him visiting her, maybe with a deck of cards and some recroom stories, would have been awesome.

And more running scenes, well, any running scenes, I count the deleted from KLG, but we actually didn't get any.

It would probably induce *headdesk* feelings and me yelling "NOOOOO, WHY ARE YOU GOING OFF WITH THAT SLIME TO FANTASISE ABOUT LEE WHEN YOU CAN ACTUALLY HAVE LEE?" but I would actually have liked to see how the fantasy itself began and, like howlinchickhowl says, how Kara's fantasy version of Lee acted.

I'm all on board with wanting to see Kara's reaction to that statement, though IIRC she does mention at some later point (Black Market) that she hasn't been seeing much of him lately, which makes me think he was avoiding her after that admission *_*

I feel like I have said this a bunch of times, but I would have LOVED to have seen them have a REAL conversation during "Taking a Break from All Your Worries." That episode is such a mess but it had the potential to be so good. I'm fine if you don't end up together...just have a real conversation about it that doesn't feel totally random!

We know that at some point Kara tells Lee at least a little of what happened to her on New Caprica, because he references it in Maelstrom.

I really wished we'd seen them talking (sure, sexy times, too) after UB, but actually having a real conversation together. I always imagined that it took place after Lee finds her in the memorial hall after Kat's death.

Ha, I like that you're allowing the sexy times :P Yeah, that would have been good to see, I am in favour of pilots talking, because it seems like they did quite a bit, but you never see it :(

You know what else I'd like to have seen? Their conversation about Kara accepting Bill's offer of a post on Galactica right after Zak's death (or however Lee found out about it, but I'd like to believe she would have told him herself). Put an angry Lee who blames his father for Zak's death together with Kara who blames herself for Zak's death, and the angst, and their friendship - that scene would probably hurt my heart, but it's still an important one in the tangled and messy history of pilots.

Considering it put a two-year rift between them, I REALLY wish we'd actually seen it, maybe in AoC.

I have a feeling like that would have happened over a letter or something because Lee seems pretty friendly towards her when they're first shown in the mini...right up until they talk about Adama.

It's possible that it was something that they didn't talk about directly, but rather just continued with a loose, superficial friendship. Written letters, quick phone calls about nothing, maybe a leave or two together?

Missing scenes! Unlike songfics and AU stories, this is exactly how I instinctively approach fic. I have a huge google notebook from the second time I watched BSG all the way through of notes for scenes from each episode. When I have time... (sigh) You guys have mentioned a lot of the big ones, but there are others I have in mind, like: What would Kara make of his relationship with the prostitute? How do they deal with being around each other after the affair ends? How does Lee react to Kara when the Demetrius returns with cylons? So many...

I just really wish I understood how the Tomb of Athena works. How do you get out? Was the archer statue still there and you could pull the Arrow of Apollo out and be back on Kobol. Was it a time release kind of thing. 15 minutes and then it disappears. I mean it just all drives me crazy. I know the answer is that the writers have no idea and it isn't real but I just can't accept that!

LOL. I just read through this post and I swear I've written fic about ALMOST every single one of these missing moments. I guess I really like that device. Ha!

My answer would be: EVERYTHING. No seriously. Every time they went off screen I wished it was like a video game and I could just follow them and not have to listen to the cylons' toothless "eeveel" plotting or Bill and Tigh's bromance or whatever. I would rather watch Lee and Kara do paperwork.

(Of course, we all know that would end in a frak on the desk, so...)

I have actually been thinking about this a lot lately. Several of them have been covered in this post (and, as always, I am late to DPP and no one will see this, such is life.)

I'd also like to see awkward moments between Kara and Lee between the Groundbreaking Ceremony and the Cylon's arriving on New Caprica. They had to bump into each other, right? Tigh knew they were fighting, so there could have been a big blow up at some point. At the very least awkward eye contact and pointed ignoring each other.
(Missing scene 2: Lee proposing to/marrying Dee. How did that go "Kara - who I am in love with - married Anders. And you're not completely appalling. So. Wanna get married?")

Missing scene 2 is an actual scene from the extended version of Unfinished Business (that or a deleted scene from UB). Lee kisses Dee and them get on the raptor together and he does the proposal & she makes some comments about knowing that he loves Kara.

Missing scene 3: I imagine that Kara would be shocked/hurt on learning of their marriage, then frak Sam to within an inch of resurrection :)
