This crazy, speculative theory has triggered a weird feeling in the back of my head, and now I'm starting to wonder...

Do you think, maybe, like, Kara loved Lee? Or something?

Yeah, that's what it looked like on the surface, but don't you think it's a little too obvious? I mean, she so clearly preferred Anders to Lee in every episode where they were together -- I think the writers were reverse psychologizing us. It's like, what Kara really wants is the opposite of what she acts like she wants. You know?

Of course, the reason that they even bothered to keep the Apollo character in the series to begin wtih was to bide the time for Anders to show up. Lee was like a Anders placecard at the Kara dinner table of love.

Yes, Kara sez one thing but means the opposite. "Marrying you was a mistake" means "You are the love of my life." "Kara Thrace loves Lee Adama" means "I hate you and I'm gonna stomp your heart flat."
