Hello fellow fic lovers!

Thanks to the diligence of [livejournal.com profile] stripes13, we found out today that the wonderful fic community, The Fallout Shelter is back online and everything seems to be intact. Those of you who know, the comm went offline a couple of months ago taking a host of fantabulous fic along with it. So any way, go

HERE

and ENJOY!

As a general warning, my antivirus scanner is picking up a virus whenever I try to head to the site. Any way we can notify the webmaster about that? =/

It's working for me, too, but I didn't even know this place existed until about five minutes ago, lol. That's what I get for sticking strictly to the LiveJournals! Hee.

Monti has two delicious long fics: Follow Me and Close Quarters, its sequel. Follow Me has a fun premise: Kara & Lee find out about the pool on when they'll finally frak. They decide to circumvent it by seeing how long they can meet in private before someone collects on the bet. Close Quarters follows the natural progression on the previous story to its next level. If you like plenty of creative "private time" and want to see Kara and Lee face all the classic challenges of post-Armageddon life together instead of fighting each other, then get over there....fast! I did mention all the creative frakkin', right?

Jayblue00 has cross-posted one of my all-time favorite fics ever and it's longgggggg. It's called In the End, and it's also on fanfiction.net. The Colonials find present-day Earth, but without cylon allies. Lee's a detective, Kara's a cop (hello, L&O: UK and Boston's Finest). It's got everything in this fic: Alpha!Lee, Kara smackdown with Dee, Laura alive & well with Bill, Zac issues, BFFs Helo - Sharon -Hera, Saul & Ellen, Galen & Cally, sex in more locations than Travelocity offers, cabin weekends, weddings, honeymoons, babies, and a dog and a feral cat that practically steal the show. The dialogue between Kara and Lee is very evocative. JB00 captures their voices perfectly. And I personally think the entire fic is worth reading if only for a ROFLMAO scene between Kara and a waitress at a restaurant where she's having dinner with Lee. After ordering a gargantuan amount of food, she explains to her server that she needs sustenance bec she and Lee have lots of sex. Lee crawls under the table, metaphorically, as the waitress says (on behalf of all of us lolz), "I would too!" Later chapters have the author make a bit of a veer with some OC characters, but it's an awesome ride I say.

Have I convinced y'all? Well, then GIT! Thar's sexytimes to be had!

Ah, the Fallout Shelter. Good times. The site would open for me, but my anti-virus software here at work quickly blocked it because apparently it's still infected by a Trojan virus. So I'd say one should definitely use caution until that's resolved...

I use Mozilla Firefox 3.6.6. but I can't register for the Fallout Shelter (to be able to view some content) because the security code image doesn't show up for me. I also couldn't use the "contact us" because the security code image doesn't show up for that either! Anyone else have this problem?

Yeah. I tried to register there years ago too, when I first started reading bsg fic, and even though the registration form was different it didn't work for me then either. I think it's cursed.
