So, it turns out that The Powers That Be lost an arm-wrestling contest to the Shipper Nation, and Kara and Lee are going on their very first date!

As you can see, they're pretty excited. And they should be! Because YOU get to plan this event! That's right. This is your show! You can put them wherever you like-- they can be in the BSG 'verse, our universe, heck, you can put them in Casablanca and give Lee an awesome hat. THE SKY IS THE LIMIT, FOLKS.

So... Where are they going? How did they get there? Where are they staying? What are they wearing? Did they go to a movie? Did they go the firing range? Did they go to a fancy restaurant? Did they eat cheap fast food in the park? Did they cook for each other? Was there even any time for dinner? ;)

As she stepped in the door, Kara's eyes opened wide with surprise and she started to laugh. "Oh, Gods," she said, walking over to greet Lee, who was wearing a shit-eating grin on his face.

In the middle of the room was round table with a white and red checkered table cloth, two beers and, for frak's sake, a pizza. Kara let out a whoop. "Oh my gods, Lee. Where the frak did you come up with that?"

Lee beamed at her and handed her one of the beers. Raising it up, Lee offered a toast and they clinked the long necks together. She held up the bottle, gazing at the details of the label before she drank, suspecting that this might be the last real beer she ever had. She took a long drink of the smooth cold ale and gave a giant sigh, it had to be best thing she'd ever tasted.

Motioning Kara, Lee pulled out her chair and the pair sat down. She leaned over the pizza, examining it skeptically. "Can I eat it?" she asked, noting the odd color.

"Well, it's not really cheese, but it tastes pretty good." He gave her a slice and took one for himself. Her mouth watered, she took a huge bite and she stopped chewing abruptly - it really did not taste that good. But, she realized, there was enough of a resemblance that if she closed her eyes, she could imagine eating pizza at a divey hole in the wall back in Caprica City. And the beer was great. She could wash down sand as long as she had one of these beers.

Despite the off taste, the pair finished the pizza and lingered over their beers, exchanging glances, wondering what would come next. More than once, Lee's body grazed hers - reaching for another slice, feet accidentally bumping under the table, knees touching for the briefest of moments, until the tension between them was thick.

Lee surprised her with another beer, just for her and presented it as he cleared the table. "I could only get three," he said and her mouth moved in thanks. Lee poured himself some of the Chief's clear brew and he moved over to the long couch in front of the windows.

She waited, watching as he sat, leaning back into the soft leather and putting his legs on the table in front of them. As he stretched out his legs, she noticed his bare ankles, odd against the precision of his uniform. She walked behind the sofa and leaned over him. "Lee? Where are your socks?"

He laughed and re-crossed his ankles, tilting his head way back to look up at her. "Some of us are not as lucky at triad as you are, Kara." She should have laughed at that, but she was frozen, struck by the sight of his neck extending back and his open mouth. Without thought, she opened her mouth and kissed him.

Hmm. I have not yet decided. I might do a small last part because there's a bit of dialogue I want to use.

Turned out to be a cute little pilots fic. Hee.
