- How icky is it that Cally is guarding the door for Chief and Boomer's rendezvous?
- Chief! Boomer! Aww, how I wish y'all could have ended up together. (And Chief, you looked best with short hair.)

- Ewww, charbuck bodies in sickbay. Kara looks totally freaked out. (As she should.)

- Is it just me or does the Master at Arms look like Lorelai Gilmore?

- Awww, Tigh saved Adama's life—a lovely bromance is born. Such longing... such passion! **sigh** OTP, my friends.

- The still! The origin of Chief's home brew (without which there would have been an alcohol shortage long long ago.)

- Heh—Cally was reading a trashy novel in her downtime. You think it might have been K/L fanfic? ; P

- Is this the first time we see the press core? The first time they have a press conference?

- Oh look! Davis—I mean, Crashdown. He's being all protective of Boomer. (Am I the only one who ever thought that Crashdown might have had kind of a crush on Boomer?)
- Ok, this comes up in fandom and fics a lot—breaking the fraternizing regs. What exactly are the regs? You can have a relationship with another person in the fleet, so long as they're not you direct superior, right? And what does direct superior mean? (For example, when Lee was CAG and Kara was lead pilot, that was a sirect superior relationship that would have been in violation, right? But not if Lee was commanding Pegasus and Kara was CAG on Galactica, right? What if Kara was XO on Galactica and Lee was CAG? Is that still a direct superior relationship?)

- DUDE! I love that they found a court reporter! I don't think they had one during Baltar's trial, did they?

- Oh no! I forgot there was Kara/Baltar interaction. He's totally trying to come on to her and she's totally grilling him on cylon security. Heh.

- I miss Six and head!Six being all violent. Those were the days.
- Y'all, is Lee not even in this episode? This is most sad-making. : /

- Uh oh—Lorelai's getting a little bit bitchy. Papadama is not taking this very well.

- Awww, this is sad. The Chief/Boomer breakup. : (
So that's it. There were precisely two Kara scenes, no Lee scenes, and a lot of court reporting. Not the greatest ep in the world, but it did move the major Chief/Boomer, Sharon/Helo, human-looking cylon stories along. And it gave us more of Doral wearing ill-fitting jackets in bad colors. ; )

Date: 2009-09-20 06:43 pm (UTC)I think a lot of people may have had a crush on Boomer. She was kinda the cute kid sister of the pilots, from the way people reacted to her and treated her. Well loved and oft-protected. She had a really fabulous family among the crew on the Galactica and I'm 18 different kinds of furious with Cavil for taking away her free will and forcing her to betray them. A Pox on Cavil!
Ahem. Moving along.
And it gave us more of Doral wearing ill-fitting jackets in bad colors.
LOL! Yeah, I'm not sure what was up with Cylon Male fashion sense. There was a definite disconnect somewhere in that circutry.

Date: 2009-09-20 07:13 pm (UTC)I so wish Boomer could have been redeemed. Where was her redemption arc, dammit? Why did only men get redemption arcs???
Ok, I'm stopping now.
Yeah, Doral and Leoben did not have good stylists. I always Simon looked nice though. Wish we could have seen more of him. Poor Simon.

Date: 2009-09-20 09:16 pm (UTC)But Ellen did have very good fashion sense, so you think she might have included that in everyone's programming.... ; )
On a slightly unrelated note, it always made me sad that there weren't more eye candy male cylons. They did quite well with the women... but not so much with the men. I mean, Sam and Simon are about it. Chief is cute, too, but Tigh and Cavil and Leoben and Doral? I feel like we females got shortchanged there.
