In lieu of thinky stuff, let's play a game today!

Scan the list of Pilots-related prompts below and choose one or more, and identify the first thought or concept related to it that comes to your mind. Then free write on the topic for five minutes, or make an icon or a macro, or post a 100-word (or longer) drabble, or rec a fic or vid that it reminds you of... ANYTHING GOES! The list includes some specific stuff but also some vague words that could have double meanings.

I'm still awed that one of the most magical pilots moments ever came out of improvising. After Lee does is little speech, I think the line in the script was for Katee to just say, "I'm gonna have to write that one down." For whatever reason she thought it needed to be more playful, and then Katee and Jamie pull this exchange out of their asses that reminds you of a couple silly twelve-year-olds dancing around their crushes on each other. In my mind, Kara's "You can't take it back" thing speaks worlds about how happy she really was to hear it. It's almost like she's snagging an opportunity to tell him, "If anything happens with us, it's your fault. Just saying. You gorgeous moron."

Was Ford supposed to say "I love you too"? Cause that would be a badass bit of improv. That line is LEGENDARY Han Solo.

It's always interesting to hear what was changed from the script, and I think in a lot of cases the screenwriters didn't really trust the performances to say enough and the actors fixed it. Another example I've heard of is that in "Scar," in the scene after Kat hits Kara and Lee asks her if she's okay, she was supposed to say something back. But on the commentary they say that the reaction she has on her face in response to his concern says it all, so they just called cut.

Oh I didn't know that was improvised, cute! I know the quick kiss was improvised and the "you've got a brain". In my head Jamie and Katee have that kind of friendly teasing relationship in real life so that they can improvise these things, even though that's probably not true at all.

I had no idea that part was improvised. It's such an important moment that wasn't even written. Thank god we had Jamie and Katee to keep us shippers happy!:)
