Hi friends! First of all, I want to thank you all for your participation and wonderful comments --yesterday's essays contributions were fantastic, all of them--, you are absolutely the best! :D So, after a whole week of discussion, thinky thoughts and porn, I’ve just realized that there’s barely been any squee this week! (my fault, I tend to get lost in fic and meta). And here is my first contribution to the party… I was doing some catch-up with all the DDP posts and comments earlier today, and just read this observationlapsedprof  made days ago:

“My husband's theory - based on some commentary stuff and his intuitive understanding of RDM and crew - is that to RDM, Kara is the girl you want but can never have. So there's some lethal resentment projected onto her (slut!) - and on to those who do get to have her (shot in the head and incinerated by the sun; made irrelevant, dismissed, and abandoned). And - it just occurs to me - let's not forget who gets the porch-swing ending - the very man she sexually humiliated in the most cringeworthy way. It's just a theory - but I see it as another way to get at the madonna/whore stuff that innibis has mentioned and that I slapped me in the face during the finale.”

Dudes, this is pretty brilliant and makes perfect sense, right?

ETA. I do actually have a question for today… lol How have pilots changed your RL? What’s been their impact on your life? When did you realize you were obsessed with them? I am curious about stuff like that :).

(Myself, I think the first time it really, really hit me the depth of my emotional attachment to them  was that period after the finale, when I spent a whole week crying and I couldn't tell anyone why I was so down –because honestly, who was supposed to understand the whole thing? Thank God I found my particular self-help group in LJ).

*g* Can you imagine Jamie having to explain Little Lee's (not so little, it seems) *ahem* "presence" to the crew, Katee, gods, his wife?? hahahaha.

I've always wondered how actors deal with this very natural biological reaction during a scene, especially when there is such amazing chemistry between them.

Umm, well, I hear there are entire comms devoted to this kind of speculation... *g* I figure it has to be something along the lines of "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." :D

But, y'know, actors end up/dally with their co-stars quite often. How do you think Jamie met his wife? :)

Oh yeah, I totally get that. I still it will be pretty embarrassing esp if your co-star isn't necessarily quite as "thrilled" with you. I always got the feeling that Katee liked Jamie, but "not like that." I know there's a bunch of KS/JB fic out there, but just watching all the interviews, etc., I didn't get that vibe from Katee at all. The most sexual/funnest thing she's said that I've seen (and I know I haven't even scratched the surface of all the interviews, articles, etc.) is when she compared Michael Trucco to a battery operated pink bunny *g*

Oh, I know. I think mainly it's that they have insane chemistry, and a lot of folks like to imagine that it extends into off-the set hijinks. :P But I don't think any fans are rushing to confront the actors with their indiscretions... everyone's pretty clear on what the "F" stands for in RPF. *g*

Weeeeelllllll...she did say something about wanting an Apollo-shaped vibrator once...

And there was the quote from Tahmoh about how Katee loved when Jamie got drunk...but his wife didn't.

And supposedly they almost got kicked off a plane for drunken behavior once.

And there was Katee's quote in TV guide about Jamie's attributes and his in Glamour about sex scenes and side boob...

I only saw the one where she compared Trucco to the vibrator. My life is so incomplete :-(

TBH I think it's his zipper, you can see it in severeal scenes sort off poking out in weird angles (unless Jamie walks around with a constant erection).
