Hello my fellow shippers! I'm Eugie and I'll be your DPP host for this week. I hope I can be as good as my awesome predecessors. I promise I'll try my best. ;)

Many times, while watching a film or a TV show, I've found that certain lines and dialogues could fit certain scenes of BSG perfectly. Well, in a funny, cracky way. ;p If it has happened to you too, share the cracky crossover. Post pictures, gifs, videos, etc, with the line of dialogue which you think could (or should) replace what a BSG character said. It doesn't have to be necessarily a Kara/Lee scene, let's play with other characters too.

I'll start, I hope you enjoy them. :)

- Clementine, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

- Chandler Bing, Friends

- Noah and Allie, The Notebook

- Lindsay, Arrested Development

- Clementine and Joel, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

- Princess Leia and Han Solo, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back

Ok, so this sort-of works in my odd West Wing crazed mind....

"I’ve got an airplane hangar out there filled with 500 strangers looking to me for direction; I’ve got a candidate who doesn’t trust any of them, and frankly neither do I. And if you think I don’t miss you every day..."

Josh to Donna in West Wing episode "The Ticket"

and another:

Josh: "I’m just sayin’ if you were in an accident, I wouldn’t stop for a beer."

Donna: "If you were in an accident, I wouldn’t stop for red lights. Thanks for taking me back."

From "17 People"

Fun! I'm going to credit Ray's crossover fic for the Firefly/BSG connection in my head, but Mal/Inara have a definite Lee/Kara vibe to them sometimes.

Inara says:
I learned something from Nandi. Not just from what happened, but from her. The family she made, the strength of her love for them. That's what kept them together. When you live with that kind of strength, you get tied to it, you can't break away. And you never want to.
There's something that I... that I should have done a long while ago. And I'm sorry -- for both of us -- that it took me this long. I'm leaving.

**queue angst**

I also see The Admiral and Saul taking the parts of Mal and Zoe, occasionally. This scene makes me think of the two of them guarding the president's raptor as she escapes the mutiny in S4.5...

Mal: So what does that make us?
Zoe: Big damn heroes, sir.
Mal: Well ain't we just.

Euge, these were so great! Love all of them, but my favorite without any doubt is The Notebook. It's so perfect for K/L (and of course, I am a fan of Noah/Allie as well :D).

And the "Arrested Development" one totally cracked me up, heee.

Great work, dear! Those are some great crossovers. The Notebook one works really well.

The only one that I can think of is from Ghosts of Girlfriends Past because I watched it over the weekend.

I promise you this:

When you wake up in the morning...

...l'll be there.

Every time.

This never really happened in our reality but I can see how it would have.

Another West Wing quote, this time from CJ and Danny in "Internal Displacement"

Danny: "Uh, we’re both about to fall of a cliff and I don’t know what I’m going to do with the rest of my life except I know what I don’t want to do. And on Inauguration Day you’re going to be released from that glorious prison on Pennsylvania Avenue with..."
C.J.: "No human skills?"
Danny: "Seems to me..."
C.J.: "I should punch you in the face, but yes."
Danny: "That’s what I’m talking about."
C.J.: "Keep going."
Danny: "So, if I’m going to jump off the cliff and you’re going to get pushed off the cliff, why don’t we hold hands on the way down?"

an alternate Daybreak pre-poof speech from Lee to Kara, perhaps?

Enough sensoring myself. Here's one from "10 Things I Hate About You", which I will pretend was actually Shakespeare and not a teen comedy based roughly on "Taming of the Shrew", from when I was too old to be the target market:

Kat Stratford: I hate the way you talk to me, and the way you cut your hair. I hate the way you drive my car. I hate it when you stare. I hate your big dumb combat boots, and the way you read my mind. I hate you so much it makes me sick; it even makes me rhyme. I hate it, I hate the way you're always right. I hate it when you lie. I hate it when you make me laugh, even worse when you make me cry. I hate it when you're not around, and the fact that you didn't call. But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you. Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.

I can't seem to come up with anything else today. I blame my husband. Movies I've seen since we started dating all involve comic book characters, cartoons, or Hobbits. Mostly. And I've been lucky to get Castle, Galactica, and House past his drama filters. :)

At the end of every day I drive through the city of Charleston and I cross the bridge that will take me home. I feel the words building inside me, I can't stop them, or tell you why I say them, but as I reach the top of the bridge these words come to me in a whisper. I say these words as a prayer, as regret, as praise, I say: Lowenstein, Lowenstein.

In New York I learned that I needed to love my mother and father in all their flawed, outrageous humanity, and in families there are no crimes beyond forgiveness. But it is the mystery of life that sustains me now. I look to the north, and I wish again that there were two lives apportioned to every man - and every woman.

The Prince of Tides, Tom Wingo

The first part would be Lee (translate "every day I drive through the city of Charleston" with "every day a walk trought savanna") and the second would be Kara (translate "in New York" with... well, with "in my life")

Ilsa: I wasn't sure you were the same. Let's see, the last time we met...
Rick: Was La Belle Aurore.
Ilsa: How nice, you remembered. But of course, that was the day the Germans marched into Paris.
Rick: Not an easy day to forget.
Ilsa: No.
Rick: I remember every detail. The Germans wore gray, you wore blue.

I'll just throw in a few quotations from David and Maddie on "Moonlighting" that remind me of pilots:

Police: So what is she to you?
David: She’s nothing to me.
Police: Nothing? You chased her across town until two in the morning, she must be something to you.
David: I care about her, alright? That’s what she is to me, she’s someone I care about. I think…I’m in care with her.
Police: ‘In care’ with her?
David: You know what I mean.
Police: And if we asked her, she’d support your story?
David: What?
Police: She would corroborate the fact that the two of you are in care?
David: I don’t know. I don’t know if she knows that I’m in care with her.
Police: (Pause) Don’t you think you better tell her?

And later, trying to work out their relationship:

Maddie: This is where you’re supposed to say that I’m not a bitch, that I’m actually one of the nicest women you’ve ever met.
David: I can’t. You’re not.
Maddie: Brutal honesty and lack of tact. I like that in my failed relationships.
David: See – that was funny, that was sharp. Do you get that funny or that sharp with anyone else? I don’t think so.
Maddie: You’re right, we have to stay together. I mean, think of the banter.
David: You’re joking and I’m serious. Don’t you get it? I don’t get any better than when I’m with you, and I don’t think you get any better than when you’re with me.
Maddie: If you’re saying this is as good as life gets…
David: I’m not saying this is as good as life gets…I’m saying…I don’t know what I’m saying, I’m saying…You know my garbage, good and bad. And I know yours – I knew it from the minute I met you. And you read me the minute you met me.
Maddie: That I did.
David: Well, that’s the point. Nobody reads me. Nobody gets to me, and you – you’re about as cool as they come. But you have to admit it, you got a bad case of me, and I got a bad case of you, and I never have had a case of anyone before.

There is a scene at the end of the new Alice in Wonderland movie where Alice is saying goodbye to the Mad Hatter and it runs something like this:

Mad Hatter: You could stay
Alice: What a wonderful, mad brilliant idea but I have to go home. There are things that I have to do.
Mad Hatter: You will forget me
Alice: How could I forget you?*

Just wonderful and heartbreaking at the same time.

In fact Alice in that movie is incredibly S4 Starbuck.

I deliberately did not list the persons saying it or the context, to avoid spoiling Babylon 5 for those on this comm who haven't seen it yet- don't look it up- you don't want to spoil this. For those of you who did see it, I assume you were bawling like I was when you saw this scene.
