DPP: Recreational Activities

Today is my last day at the helm (phew!) And it's nearing the start of the season for my favorite sport irl. So I got to thinking about sports in BSG--which means basically pyramid. And that's boring. So I expanded it to all recreational activities. Which means pyramid and triad. Wow. Well, and building stealth ships in one's spare time. And drinking. And lots of sex. Looots of sex. Because the BSG-verse is really boring otherwise. And possibly reading Gaius Baltar's book. Oh, and bar fights. Lots of those too. They're really for variety in this show, huh?

So, what's your favorite recreational activity for Kara and Lee? Together or separate--doesn't matter. Do you think Lee liked pyramid? Tell me about Kara's pyramid-playing days. Do they ever do anything besides play cards and drink? What other things do they get up to?

Hmmm, recreational activities for our favorite duo, fun topic!

Together:
- the obvious: sexytimes!
- scuba diving
- going on hikes with their foster dogs
- drinking beer and barbecuing

Lee solo:
- wanders around grocery stores and makes up recipes in his head
- cooks, primarily because he loves feeding Kara
- practices martial arts
- plays online chess with his dad and Laura
- didn't care about pyramid, but was really good at it from playing with Zak

Kara solo:
- teaches self-defense classes
- volunteers with inner-city youth
- thinks about becoming a tattoo artist
- reads a lot of poetry, and carried a journal with her during her pyramid-playing days, but will never show anyone her poems

I love the idea that Lee doesn't really care about pyramid and only plays for Zak or Kara. *happy sigh*

I like to think he would play terribly embarrassed as she jumped around and yelled at the screen while she watches games at home and especially at play-off parties thrown by his friends, but secretly he loves it. *happy sigh8

Yes! He'd be in the kitchen making snacks for her and pretend to be embarrassed while she hooted and hollered, but he'd actually like it. I like the way your mind works!

And it totally turns him on in a way that makes him wish they'd hosted the party so he'd quit thinking about pulling her into a random bedroom and ...

I think they would ski. Really physical which they both like. But potentially competitive for Kara and kind of refined for Lee.

If I had any practical skiing knowledge I would have written this by now, but I don't do wet and cold. ;)

They both love a good rock concert; maybe not the big name groups, but the smaller indie acts that still blow your hair back. I can also see Kara going to a Jazz club.

They try to go to the movies, but always get kicked out for talking (and Kara throwing things at the screen).

I think they both would enjoy the museum on a rainy weekend.
Kara would lean more to the Impressionists and the Abstracts while Lee would be drawn to the sculptures and installation pieces.
