How do you think Kara would feel about Nell, Sarah, Teddy, Dana, Frankie and Katee's other characters? Would she like them? Hate them? Be friends with any of them? How would she feel about Archie, Ralph, Jack, Martin, Mitchell, Matt and Jamie's other characters?
How would Lee feel about them?
How would Lee feel about them?

Date: 2011-10-12 07:50 pm (UTC)I can't see Kara and Archie Kennedy getting along, certainly as friends. I think he's far too eager and young. Kara isn't old physically, but mentally she's seen an awful lot, and Archie hasn't - he's young physically and mentally. I think he'd tolerate him as a pilot, but he'd be very much in the background and never make it to her actual circle of friends, though if she did let him in I think she'd be surprised by how loyal and self sacrificing he could be.
I think Kara would understand the anger in Matt Devlin, though I'm not sure she'd respond to him wanting to be able to fix her. She would appreciate his quick wit and willingness to pay for rounds in the pub/share drinks after a difficult day.
I think Lee would recognise different facets of his personality in both Archie and Matt.
Archie always seems to me to be the dutiful part of him to the nth degree - maybe the light without the dark that Lee always has bubbling under the surface. Looking at it from the other side, I think Archie would recognise Lee as very similar to his friend Horatio ;) (Hornblower has the dark sides, the duty before everything that Lee can have at times).
I think Lee would recognise the darker parts of Matt and sympathise with them (though Matt never gets as dark as Lee). I think he'd also see a man who is trying very hard to do the right things (though not always succeeding). He'd certainly get on with the part of Matty that gets very angry and driven over child murders/abuse (Black Market!).
I'd like to think Lee would get on with both Matty and Archie. But that could just be my wish to see Jamie3 ;)

Date: 2011-10-12 08:07 pm (UTC)As for Matt, I definitely think Kara would like him. She'd certainly appreciate the flirting (oh Matty :( ) and they'd be great drinking buddies, though she might not like it if he ever tells her to slow down :) (of course, this is in an AU where Archie and Matt are still alive *sigh*).
Martin Klar, oh boy. Pilots would so totally take him down. And when it comes to Ralph, I'm not sure but I really think Lee would judge him for keeping his marriage a secret and pulling all the subterfuge in the first place.

Date: 2011-10-13 03:49 am (UTC)Oh, the flirting... Idk what would come of those two together... well, except a lot of cute, funny, pretty things.
but yes, on all accounts: Archie, Matt and the Ralph.
as to Martin Klar... hmm, in a scenario in which those two would meet I'm wondering about Echo. that would be something to see and I'm afraid that the interaction between Kara and Echo would leave Lee and Paul alone in dealing with Martin and such. (if that makes any kind of sense).

Date: 2011-10-12 09:45 pm (UTC)Kara would at least think Sarah Corvus was better than Jaime Summers but I can't see them as buddies or anything. They're to similar. Two people like that would clash awfully.
I almost think Kara would find Matt boring. He's kinda worse than Lee in his by-the-bookness. I really think she'd have no patience for that.
Lee would be slightly scared of Sarah's super strength insanity but I think they could get along. I think he'd be intrigued by how she combines the daredevil stunts and badassery with traditionally feminine qualities so much more than Kara does.
Lee and Matt, hmmmm I think he'd respect him after a bit. Maybe they could trade bad pick up lines while they drink together.

Date: 2011-10-13 04:04 am (UTC)Archie: he would probably try to protect, teach, etc. even if i don't really know how much patience would he have for Archie's... fragility? then again, maybe it would depend on the setting (with or without a war going on). but i think that he would make him a sort of little brother.
Ralph... no patience there for sure. that guy was strange and did some very questionable things without real reasons. i don't see this relationship going anywhere.
Martin: already said by a number of people - Lee would be there with Paul in taking him down. probably leading the operation and all.
Mitchell: he would approve of the ideas (especially the one about living in peace) but not the approach. he would probably try to calm Mitchell down and then go and deal in a more diplomatic way with all the mess.
Dotsy Doheny: well, he's a younger, calmer and less troubled version of Lee so... you get the picture.
Hans Meyrick: to... funny and laid back for Lee - imho. i see them interact at a party but that's the end of it.
did i missed somebody? except Matt - I'm too sad to deal with that now. I'll get back to you on Lee/Matt after I manage to actually do the LOUK rewatch that i have planed. *crying here all alone at work*
