Hi, shippers! Today's topic is the family connection, but before I get into that, I just wanted to say thank you for a great week! It's been fun. :)
Okay, so. From their first scene together in canon, we knew that Kara and Lee had some kind of connection through Lee's brother, Zak. Turned out, of course, that Kara was engaged to him, meaning she and Lee would have been in-laws. Kara and Lee, who obviously had feelings for each other as well. Add that to the fact that Kara was obviously like a daughter to Adama and, well, you had a pretty dysfunctional situation from the get-go. Nevertheless, it was all they had.
What were your favorite Family Adama moments in canon? What about in fanon? Did you think the show did enough with this side of Kara and Lee's relationship? If not, what would you have changed? What do you think of those Apollo and Artemis references that sometimes pop up in fic? Etc. etc.
To get us started, one of my favorite scenes--the first meeting of the self-help group for dysfunctional families and insubordinate officers:
