Hey kids, I'm driving the DPP train this week, so get ready cause here it comes!

Thought we'd kick off this week by starting with some wild and wacky. BSG was often praised for being a realistic, down-to-earth show despite the "evil robots in space" basic premise. But for today, let's embrace the over-the-top, out-of-this-world possibilities. Here's a list of imaginary or supernatural creatures and ideas. How would you incorporate one or more events into the show? How would Kara or Lee react if they were to come in contact with some of these things? Who would be the Scully (skeptic) and who would be the Mulder (true believer)? Write a fic if you feel moved, a drabble or something longer, or just give us the title or the first line. Sky's the limit.

vampires
unicorns
elves
werewolves
zombies
ghosts
dragons
time travel
psychic abilities (telepathy, telekinesis, etc)
soul bonding
magic spells
aliens (not counting cylons)
any other paranormal element you can come up with

Here's some visual inspiration to get you going!

Oh noes! Lee & Kara have been infected by the zombies!

Hee! I know, the toothbrushing and the silver bullets were my favorite parts! Though of course as soon as I read it to my husband he said, "I can't believe you didn't bring in his alarming intermittent mustache." So, so true. Good call, husband.

The pentagram thing is a less well-known aspect of the werewolf myth: it is said that the werewolf can see the mark of the pentagram on the skin of his next victim. Bill sees it on Saul because Saul will be the first person he attacks, though fortunately Saul is a total bad-ass and does not get his throat torn out, and takes down Bill before he can hurt anyone else either. This is all the result of my being raised on 1940s Universal horror films - Lon Chaney Jr.'s "The Wolfman" was one of my dad's favorite movies of all time, and I always remember the scene where he stares into the palm of the woman he loves and sees the star appear in her hand and he knows that he is going to kill her. Poor werewolves have it rough :(
