I always wondered where they got all of these star charts. I mean I know they did recon but it always seemed to me like they had too many to be accounted for that way.

I just liked the whole tonal quality of this conversation between Helo and Kara.

Agreed. Especially since Adama tells everyone in the mini that they have to go beyond the "red line," which I'm assuming means unchartered space, no?

Yeah exactly. That, the long range communication across FTL barriers. Really the biggest part of the bad scifi of scifi that at least this show was rare with.

This is the season where everything just sorta falls apart. It's not just the writing and the unfinished plot lines, but everything. It's like they just slapped it all together and hoped for the best (and also that we wouldn't notice!)
