I always wondered where they got all of these star charts. I mean I know they did recon but it always seemed to me like they had too many to be accounted for that way.

Yeah exactly. That, the long range communication across FTL barriers. Really the biggest part of the bad scifi of scifi that at least this show was rare with.

I think that since Aaron was initially pretty pissed off that his character was going to be a Cylon, he gave a lot more to the part than he would've. It's almost like he's channeling his own personal anger into the part.

This is the season where everything just sorta falls apart. It's not just the writing and the unfinished plot lines, but everything. It's like they just slapped it all together and hoped for the best (and also that we wouldn't notice!)

Well I've watched the mini a few more times though and there were some pretty silly errors in that too. Like Gaeta calling Lee Captain Apollo to Adama in CIC. Not likely that anyone else would have known that name quite that early in the SL, let alone called Lee that.

You know the more I watch this the more Kara not being strong and confident here doesn't make sense. Even what Leoben just said "But this is not all that we are." If Kara was something else (other then the original dead human char), like in my position the positive harbinger definition, why make her so tentative and confused?

Yup. Again, it's almost like the writers had NO CLUE what/who she was when they brought her back and were working through it epi by epi which makes it disjointed and totally OOC in certain circumstances (like this one)

I always excuse the mini because they didn't really know if the show was going to make it or not. There are even more minor things wrong with it that doesn't jibe with the rest of the series.

Kind of painful that they did the same to the later part of Andromeda too. There I survived through TWO seasons of ripping it apart. So maybe it was best there were only four seasons for this.

Season four showed how little they thought things out they did. They built a cool mythology but showed they didn't know what it all meant more then we did lol. That's the lesson the show. You can do some cool things and take chances but DAMN IT you better know how it is going to play out before you do it.

And tbh, if they did chose to kill her off, they should've been brave about it and kept her dead and not some vague, random, angel thing with no direction. These are the times that I really admire Joss Whedon for being brave enough to kill main characters and stick with it. If you're too scared to do it, then don't! If you do, see it through!

Know what really irritates me about that? There had been an ongoing thread where Kara was afraid to face death. From AoC to Sacrifice to The Passage and they finally explained it in Maelstrom. She was despite all her stunts afraid to die, and in Daybreak 2, they apparently forget all about that. She had no fear of death, total retcon. So not only could they not explain why, they couldn't even stand by their flimsy reasoning for it.
