The liveblog for Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part II will commence TONIGHT at 10:30 EST / 9:30 CST (30 minutes later than usual, so Bee can get home from dinner party obligations-- sorry!)

We look forward to seeing everyone there. And if you haven't participated before, please come out and join us! It's always great fun, and we can guarantee that silliness and hijinks will ensue. *g*

I AM IN MISSION VIEJO.

HA. I DO NOT KNOW IF I CAN HANDLE SUCH AN EXPRESSION OF LOVE WHEN IT IS NOT VIRTUAL.

shopping spree @ South Coast Plaza?

Haha, the assumption that I'd be able to afford shopping at South Coast Plaza... I am poor. And have no sense of fashion. T-shirt and jeans, baby. AND I DON'T CARE IF OUTFITS MATCH. TAKE THAT, AMERICA.

;P

P.S.: YOUR ICON GIVES ME MUCH JOY. SHE IS SO ADORABLE. ♥

hahaha. I can't afford anything there either. I window shop. And visit MAC (it's sad, but I'm such a sucker for makeup i don't use. haha).
...hmm...how about downtown disney? lunch @ portillos?

ARE YOU GOING TO COMIC CON THIS YEAR?

also, are you planning on moving out to the glorious LAC? We pay more taxes!

Hee! I always feel SO uncomfortable there because I so do not fit in. I and a couple friends went there last month (I think) because we were seeing Spamalot across the way, and I felt REALLY OUT OF PLACE.

It doesn't help that the last time I went in South Coast Plaza was literally YEARS ago, and back then I hadn't realized - huh, how weird that I've set Ubuntu to an American keyboard yet it wants the British spelling - how high-end it was, so it was really weird.

NO, I AM NOT. MAYBE NEXT YEAR. OR THE YEAR AFTER THAT. WE SHALL SEE.

Ha, true. I actually want to move out towards the Bay Area. Or, y'know, somewhere coastal. THEY ARE MORE SOCIALLY LIBERAL UP THERE. THIS MESHES WITH MY WORLD VIEW. (You don't know conservative until you've lived and breathed OC. IT IS TORTURE.)

Actually, I prefer to hang out @ The Lab when I'm over there. I spend WAY too much time in Urban Outfitters. Usually can't afford a single thing, but I love their selection of quirky books.

You know, I wouldn't have associated conservative w/ the OC...but then again, you're out in MV...that's realllly deep in there (practically freakin' Capistrano!)...I usually move around in the Anaheim-Fullerton-Huntington Beach areas whenever I'm not in LA. feh. At least it's not the 909. haha!

HOW ABOUT BOWLING @ THE SPECTRUM?

Date: 2009-11-17 01:24 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] antismiles.livejournal.com
Yeah, it suckkkkkkkkkkks. You're right, the really deep areas of OC are very conservative. You know, I can handle fiscal conservatives; I mean, whatever, I can be swayed to either side depending on the issue. But I CANNOT HANDLE SOCIAL CONSERVATIVES. I JUST - NO. NO. NO.

HA! The 909. I'm 949.

OOH, THE SPECTRUM. I WAS JUST THERE SATURDAY WITH MY MOTHER TO SEE 2012.

(Wait. Are we thinking of the same thing? 'Cause I'm thinking Irvine Spectrum.)

Date: 2009-11-17 03:12 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] amaliak.livejournal.com
Yes, I'm talking about the Irvine Spectrum. They have a D&B! Haha. i remember back in the day when it was just the D&B, IMAX, and Ben & Jerry's! Haha. Oh, 1998. Sometimes, I think you where awesome.

Yeah, moving to the Bay is radically in the other direction. However, sometimes I think they might be...too liberal? Does that make sense? Too conservative or too liberal....you'd be surprised at how little of a difference there is in the level of ANNOYING. Haha. But the Bay is just so much fun. :P

ILU.

I just had a conversation with my friend Josh last Friday night about this. He was giving me a ride to a mutual friend's house and I was riding shotgun and pouring over my new Sephora catalogue. He was all "I don't get it. You barely wear makeup." To which I replied, "But it's so pretty! I like to buy it...you know, just in case. There might be a party or something and...it's pretty!"

I'm obsessed with makeup shopping...and yet... I don't really wear it. I'm glad I'm not the only one LOL

I think it's the artist in us, honestly. I feel the same way walking around MAC that I do walking around Art Supply Warehouse. Haha. Eye shadow palettes = paint palettes. Hee.

Oh, and the Sephora catalog is AWESOME. SO MUCH PRETTY!!!

ILU too.
