The liveblog for Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part II will commence TONIGHT at 10:30 EST / 9:30 CST (30 minutes later than usual, so Bee can get home from dinner party obligations-- sorry!)

We look forward to seeing everyone there. And if you haven't participated before, please come out and join us! It's always great fun, and we can guarantee that silliness and hijinks will ensue. *g*

GAH! I completely forgot about the rewatch and after party when I agreed to be a responsible citizen! (Some opinion research thingy that... whatever, it's time and I get paid. Maybe I can skew their results a little/lot to the left **grins innocently**)

Have fun, all. I look forward to fics and screen caps and discussion-reading when I get back.

WE SHOULD TOTALLY DO A RHYME COMMENT FIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

7:30 (on the West Sayid!) is perfect actually. I don't have to break 30 different traffic laws to make it home on time. :P

Aw, thanks Lex!

I would absolutely be up for a re-watch any other night that is not Saturday. I have a previous engagement to dance my butt off at a friend's birthday party that night. :-D

I'm not sure you're going to be able to get everyone on board for a single time, what with the three hour time difference. The majority are on the East coast (I think), so the earlier time is better for most people.

The solution really may be to plan the re-watch for two nights/times. One at a more East Coast friendly time, and one at a more West Coast friendly time. Overlap and dual attendance being happily accepted, but not at all expected.

Also, extra eye rolling at me for anything that might sound like a complaint, because I'm not actually re-watching. I only have Season 3 on DVD, so I'm just reading along and commenting on everyone else's comments.

I approve of this idea. It's difficult to get to a rewatch so early. :\

ALSO. Y'all know there won't be any real silliness and hijinks if I am not there, right? And my Lee-Lee. We work together and push the crazy to new, cracktastic heights.

I SHALL ENDEAVOUR TO MAKE IT. I DO NOT MAKE ANY PROMISES.

Found this site white checking out some BSG fanfic. I'm not an LJ user (well other than reading some awesome stories, I've come across) and I stumbled across this site. How fun that you are rewatching BSG together then blogging about it! So, I;m dropping a line to say, I love reading all the fic I've found and I love BSG, too! J

Haha, the assumption that I'd be able to afford shopping at South Coast Plaza... I am poor. And have no sense of fashion. T-shirt and jeans, baby. AND I DON'T CARE IF OUTFITS MATCH. TAKE THAT, AMERICA.

(I DON'T KNOW. ALL FIXED NOW!!)

Jenny Holzer is the AMAZING artist that puts up her poetry in public places. Mostly, she's worked in Europe, but her stuff can be seen in NY and other places (I think once she had an exhibit here @ the MOCA). She's AMAZING and I LOVE HER TO DEATH AND I WILL WRITE A PILOT!FIC TO ONE OF HER POEMS EVEN IF IT KILLS ME.

Hee! I always feel SO uncomfortable there because I so do not fit in. I and a couple friends went there last month (I think) because we were seeing Spamalot across the way, and I felt REALLY OUT OF PLACE.

It doesn't help that the last time I went in South Coast Plaza was literally YEARS ago, and back then I hadn't realized - huh, how weird that I've set Ubuntu to an American keyboard yet it wants the British spelling - how high-end it was, so it was really weird.

NO, I AM NOT. MAYBE NEXT YEAR. OR THE YEAR AFTER THAT. WE SHALL SEE.

Ha, true. I actually want to move out towards the Bay Area. Or, y'know, somewhere coastal. THEY ARE MORE SOCIALLY LIBERAL UP THERE. THIS MESHES WITH MY WORLD VIEW. (You don't know conservative until you've lived and breathed OC. IT IS TORTURE.)

Exactly. This is the way of separating the wheat from the chaff. I only want the cream of the crop in our corner of fandom. And by cream of the crop, I mean the craziest mofo's available. (I, of course, hold the honorary title of Craziest Bitch in Shipper Nation. Wasn't named Crack for nothin'. ;))

Actually, I prefer to hang out @ The Lab when I'm over there. I spend WAY too much time in Urban Outfitters. Usually can't afford a single thing, but I love their selection of quirky books.

You know, I wouldn't have associated conservative w/ the OC...but then again, you're out in MV...that's realllly deep in there (practically freakin' Capistrano!)...I usually move around in the Anaheim-Fullerton-Huntington Beach areas whenever I'm not in LA. feh. At least it's not the 909. haha!

HOW ABOUT BOWLING @ THE SPECTRUM?

Date: 2009-11-17 01:24 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] antismiles.livejournal.com
Yeah, it suckkkkkkkkkkks. You're right, the really deep areas of OC are very conservative. You know, I can handle fiscal conservatives; I mean, whatever, I can be swayed to either side depending on the issue. But I CANNOT HANDLE SOCIAL CONSERVATIVES. I JUST - NO. NO. NO.

HA! The 909. I'm 949.

OOH, THE SPECTRUM. I WAS JUST THERE SATURDAY WITH MY MOTHER TO SEE 2012.

(Wait. Are we thinking of the same thing? 'Cause I'm thinking Irvine Spectrum.)

Instead of two separate rewatches, what about having the main rewatch at the regular time, then scheduling the afterparty for a few hours later (like at 9pm PST)? And, of course, people are free to watch the ep in the afterparty thread.

(And since I'm threadjacking, I'll play by the rules and add that I think I'm gonna watch tonight. Strangely enough, the last few days have made me want to watch BSG again, even though this isn't a particularly good Pilots ep.)

ILU.

I just had a conversation with my friend Josh last Friday night about this. He was giving me a ride to a mutual friend's house and I was riding shotgun and pouring over my new Sephora catalogue. He was all "I don't get it. You barely wear makeup." To which I replied, "But it's so pretty! I like to buy it...you know, just in case. There might be a party or something and...it's pretty!"

I'm obsessed with makeup shopping...and yet... I don't really wear it. I'm glad I'm not the only one LOL

Yes, I'm talking about the Irvine Spectrum. They have a D&B! Haha. i remember back in the day when it was just the D&B, IMAX, and Ben & Jerry's! Haha. Oh, 1998. Sometimes, I think you where awesome.

Yeah, moving to the Bay is radically in the other direction. However, sometimes I think they might be...too liberal? Does that make sense? Too conservative or too liberal....you'd be surprised at how little of a difference there is in the level of ANNOYING. Haha. But the Bay is just so much fun. :P

Damn. Guess the love really has faded too much for me, because I'm realizing I'm just not as into this episode as I want to be. And that makes me quite sad. It's a good episode, sure, but I'm not feeling the love. Maybe I should've watched part 1 last week. (And wow, I'm a downer tonight!)
