DPP: One Couch, No Waiting
Nov. 5th, 2010 09:02 amGreetings and salutations, 'shipper nation! This is Amy, known on your internets as
ninjamonkey73, and I'm driving the DPP bus this week. Sit back and enjoy the ride...
Let's face it; this show has issues, and by extension, we have issues with it.

Pull up a couch and tell us what bothers you about the characters. storylines, universe. Think of today as a support group free-for-all.

Date: 2010-11-06 12:04 am (UTC)So the want to give up the shelter those ships have. The Galactica alone houses alot of their history and culture, the history and culture they worked hard to hold on to, and when they can finally slow down enough to appreciate it, they send that all into the sun?
To put it simply as I can, they went through hell to get to a safe haven finally, why would they get rid of all advance technology and then spread out all over the Earth when there is only just over 40k people left?
If a society were stupid enough to do that, they would die out in a generation or two at the most.
Not only is this stupid as far as survival goes, it violates the show in and of itself. The show talked many times about what future generations would think, a society that clinged to their past. Doesn't the memorial wall speak of people who don't want to forget? Yet at the finish line, this is what they do?
This in my mind is on par with the idiocy of the poof and that is amazing that 2 of the most stupid things I've even seen on TV happened in the last what 30 minutes of the show's run?
