Okay, I had to think about this one and go back and listen to some tracks, etc.

What is your favorite Kara/Lee music?

This one was really difficult for me to decide, but I narrowed it down to two that are pretty significant moments for me. The first one is The Thousandth Landing (Act of Contrition). It is such a great K/L moment juxtaposed so beautifully with the horrific event that's about to happen. The music totally makes that entire sequence IMO. My second choice is The Dance (UB). Again, the music is imperative to the scene. It's a "happy" tune, but underneath it, the UST between K/L is palpable. Plus, there's corny country dancing involved, so what's not to love? *g*

Disregarding corresponding scenes and/or story lines, what is your Bear Top Ten?

This is what took some time ...

1. The Thousandth Landing (Act of Contrition)
2. One Year Later (LDYB2)
3. Farewell Apollo (Six of One)
4. The Shape of Things to Come (Kobol's Last Gleaming 2)
5. Allegro (Home 2)
6. Someone to Trust (Taking a Break from all Your Worries)
7. Violence & Variations (UB)
8. Passacaglia (Kobol's Last Gleaming 1)
9. The Dance (UB)
10. Gina Escapes (Resurrection Ship 2)

Well, this gives me an excuse to use my Bear icon. XD

Um, I'll be honest. I'm pretty terrible at actually knowing what the hell is what when it comes to the soundtrack, which is... not that weird for me, because it's really, really rare that I actively pay attention to the score (seriously, Star Wars, Glory, Titanic, Pirates of the Caribbean and the LoTR movies are about the only scores that I actually remembered after watching the movie without additional listening later on). So, for the few scenes of BSG where the music has grabbed me and stuck with me, here's what I love:

1. Wander My Friends (Hand of God) (BAGPIPES OF EMOTIONAL IMPACT, Y'ALL)
2. Heeding the Call
3. Roslin and Adama
4. The Shape of Things to Come (which I prefer to Passacaglia, oddly enough)
5. The Dance

Um, other than that, I am crap at remembering any of the songs. We have the entire soundtrack and I really ought to listen to it at some point, though. Perhaps I will put it on my iPod and take it with me to the Dragon*Con! Good plane music.

Meanwhile, Jimi Hendrix should be winning this poll, because Jimi Hendrix just wins. (Although I maintain that the only way to truly understand Jimi Hendrix without dropping acid is to stay awake for at least 48 hours. Bold as Love is like, a frakking revelation after a few days with no sleep.)

Well, I don't own the soundtrack so I don't know what anything is called, but I did enjoy the music of the show very much. My favorite melody is the one that plays over the end of Kobol's Last Gleaming Part Two as Six and Baltar are walking to the opera house stage (it also plays over the final shot of Adama in the finale during the long pull-back across the green fields of Earth). It's so lovely.

I also remember enjoying the rendition of All Along the Watchtower in "Someone to Watch Over Me." It was a great moment when Kara's hesitant, meandering notes suddenly sped up and captured the upper melody while her Spirit!Dad played the chords. Sidenote - whenever I see two characters playing the piano together like that I automatically assume they must be playing "Heart and Soul" :)

For great Kara/Lee music, I must admit I don't have a particular standout. I remember thinking the brig music was nice in Six of One (the drumbeats are very "Last of the Mohicans").

I don't think I can answer your poll, because I like ALL OF THEM! (Though to be honest, the Hendrix version is the one I grew up with, and so is the one I always go back to.) Anyways! Winner of best band name is definitely Sammy T and the Final Five. :-D

I still don't have any of the BSG soundtracks. I must rectify this...
