Before we get to today's topic, I really do have some unfinished business to take care of. ;) The poll for your favorite scenes is now closed, and the awards ceremony post will go up this evening.

Okay! With that announcement out of the way, let's talk about

In UB, Bill mentions to Laura that a dance is a military tradition. Now, since they've been on the run, they probably haven't had the time to have one previously, but if they had, would Kara and Lee still have ended up in the ring? At what points would they have been least likely to call each other out? Or would they always have fought? Who else would they call out and why? If civilians could participate, would Lee and Sam have fought?

Talk amongst yourselves! :D See you back here tonight for the exciting conclusion to YOUR FAVORITE PILOTS SCENES! /dramatic announcer voice

I guess I think Sam's actually *more* likely to do it at a dance than in private. He's allowed to at the dance--it's supposed to be a way to relieve tensions, stop grudges, allow these people to fight it out. As much as he may want to in private, I think he's held back by ideas of things like manners and appropriateness. But the dance is some kind of permission.
