As an example of how hard yesterday was, I was happy to vote for ones today that I didn't vote for yesterday! I'm going to go out on a limb here and call the final round- no takebacks vs. Six of One brig scene. I better start thinking about which way my loyalties lie. Aw, hell. I KNOW which way my loyalties lie... "I believe you." :)

Brig and Islanded won't both be in the finals. The final round will be something from S1 or S2 vs something from S3 or S4... but Brig and Islanded will possibly be against each other tomorrow/

Yep, the next round is gonna be rough I think. It's looking like The Match (UB) vs. Under the Wing (Maelstrom) AND Brig vs. Islanded, both of which are going to be hard choices.

It is interesting that, although so much pilots!goodness happened in S1/2, the scenes that seem to matter the most to us are still the little bits of K/L joy we got in S3/4. Almost like S1/2 was too easy (as if the end of the worlds is easy) and S3/4 made us appreciate our ship more because it got less attention (from the writers, not from us, obviously).

Here's a question - do you think that there are any unifying themes behind the reason people pick one scene over another? I noticed that I went for friendship/trust affirmations over sex pretty much every time.

My reasons weren't along straight lines. Sometimes, it was the friendship, sometimes the chemistry, sometimes both. My 'ship is complicated. :)

I guess sex doesn't symbolize trust/togetherness necessarily, but some can imply that. I admit it... I am one who sees that they are made for each other and a big part of that is sex. I mean, what are pilots without major hormones?! haha ;)

Yeah, same here...the sex is icing, but Kara/Lee friendship is substance.

Much easier than yesterday! I did change a couple of my votes. Still not liking the table-frak flashback.

As far as discussion ... here are the reasons for some of my choices:

"Smack you in the mouth" is an easy choice for me because it's the perfect example of UST early on. My favorite part of that scene actually is the look the Chief gives Kara after Lee walks away and she says "what?" in typical Starbuck mode. Love it!

I didn't vote for "The Dress" because every time I think of that scene, I'm reminded of what comes after. I can't separate the two so I don't like that scene. Although, the deck fight is a favorite (but it's not on the list, so ... moving on.)

The "Raptor Outmaking" is awesome because well ... um ... serious tongue action there guys. What's not to love? (I'm choosing to ignore the conversation that follows that bit of deliciousness)

"The Brig Scene" and "The Rest of it Isn't Worth a Damn" are just a given for me personally. The pure, unadulterated LOVE in both those scenes are so gut-wrenching. The way they look at each other, the way they interact ... OMG. Pilot!Love! at its absolute best. (PS I like the extended version of the brig scene better than the original, esp because in the original Lee's dialogue is partly ADR'ed to "fit" the cut scene. Blah.)

I'm with you... the Raptor Makeout scene is the best!! The Dress just reminds me of the fact that they screw it up again grrrr.

me too. I am really bummed to see raptor outmaking go, that would be my second favourite, I think. And I didn't vote for the match first time around either. :(

Loving this poll! Here are some of my thoughts:
I love the playfulness of the water hose fight, but I chose smack you in the mouth because of the fabulous UST of the scene. I love the Chief's look at the end...no other pilot could talk to the CAG like that and get away with it.
I love the whole "it's written under the frakking wing!" and how estatic Lee is to have Kara back safe, but I have to go with the Colonial Day dress scene. She totally dressed up just for him and his face says just how much he appreciates it. If only it was Lee who had taken that dress off of her later!
I love the wonder twin aspect of the no air in the shooting range scene, but I have to go with no takebacks because he's her friend and he loves her...and the banter!
My next choice is the "are we ok" and hug. "You should hear how my brain works sometimes"..."you have a brain?"
I had to go with the Raptor outmaking. It's just too hot to ignore. Lee's tongue sends me to my rack every time ;-)
The under the wing scene got my vote because it's just so sad. They are right back where they started...they care about each other so much, but can't find a way to be together.
The Brig scene wins hands down. It is one of their most romantic moments ever in my opinion. The hands on each others faces, the foreheads...guh!
I know I am in the minority, but I really like the near-table-frak. I think it shows just how wildly attracted they were to each other...love at first sight. I actually chose the hallway scene though because I think it shows the depth of feeling Lee had for Kara...I wanted that scene to be so much more and have them profess their real feelings for each other since they were no longer attached to others, etc...I was yelling at the TV when it originally aired...Kara got to look pretty, the look in Lee's eyes was pure love, the face touching...oh pilots!

Haha, my choices in some of the matches were definitely not the popular choice. For example, I voted for Finale Flashbacks because, frankly, the Islanded scene makes me cringe a bit. I do not like it, nope. (Yes, I know.)

I love all these scenes soooooooo much and all 4 of them are so significant to the Story of Pilots too.
