Yeah, it's after NC. Cavil gets into her head while Baltar is being smarmy and worrying about whether or not the Cylons think he brought them to the plague, and he exploits the cracks that we see in this episode and convinces her that humanity is capable of nothing but turning on others. (Evidence is overwhelming. She helped them so much in her life, then she made one little mistake and suddenly she's in the brig, then she's shot, then her love takes up with her murderer, then the whole fleet comes in and attacks her even though she'd advocated so hard for giving them a chance and trying to live with them, and.... It's all bullshit, but I read the Eights as defined by their loyalty. That BS introduced in S4 about the 8's being wishy-washy is just exactly that -- BS.) At least, that's my theory.
