New rewatch schedule!

Hey, shippers! So, this hiatus has gone on long enough, yeah? Without further ado, I present the new rewatch schedule^**:


Saturday, April 17: Downloaded
Sunday, April 25: LDYB 1
Monday, May 3: LDYB 2
Tuesday, May 11: Occupation
Wednesday, May 19: Precipice
Thursday, May 27: Exodus 1
Friday, June 4: Exodus 2
Saturday, June 12: Collaborators
Sunday, June 20: Torn
Monday, June 28: A Measure of Salvation
Tuesday, July 6: Hero
Wednesday, July 14: Unfinished Business (UB)
Thursday, July 22: Unfinished Business Extended (UBEX)


Note that rewatches will always start at 10 pm EDT. As usual, we'll try to post a reminder the day of the rewatch.

^**At least, this is the schedule for now. We'll be keeping tabs on attendance levels to make sure this is really helping the most people participate in the rewatches. And then there's the matter of whether we actually want to watch all of S3 (do we really want to watch "Hero," for instance?), which I believe Miss Bee will be polling y'all about sometime this week. If anything does change as a result, I'll post the new schedule ASAP.

Frak, I'll be in San Diego on July 22nd! It's the first day of Comic Con, I don't know if I'll be able to join the UBEX rewatch. I'll upload the episode to the netbook just in case. ;)

Aw! Well, if we skip Hero and/or other S3 eps, that might move up the date of the UB/UBEX rewatches, so maybe that'd help you out. And then there's also the idea of doing weekend encores. So we'll see what we can do, Eugie! I certainly don't want people to miss out on enjoying these eps as a group.

I'm so glad you posted this! I was going to start a post earlier today suggesting we hop back on the wagon. Not sure if I'm a fan of the rotating days. It's kind of nice to always know what night you're tuning in for it and carve that time out of the schedule, but maybe more people will participate...

Yeah, rotating days could be a pain, I know. But I hate leaving the same people out all the time too... This is just a test run, so we'll see how it goes. If it's no working out, we'll try something else.

Looks good so far. I hope I can make most of them (My kiddie softball team might have 8pm games on a couple of those nights, but what the hell, I can blow them off, right?)

Thanks for posting! I was just wondering today if we'd be starting the rewatch again this week. I'd like to echo the above comments with an idea.

I don't care about rewatching Hero...absolutely no interest. Also, July 22 doesn't work for me either for UBEX...sadness! But...if we took Hero out of the line-up, then UB would be July 6 and UBEX would be July 14...which might solve both issues. Just a thought.

I'm also hesitant about the rotating days...but then I'd also hate it if the rewatch was always on a bad day (i.e. Thursdays)...so hopefully this option will be better for everyone as far as participation. Another idea might be to rotate between the two most popular days. Then there's variety if one day doesn't work for everyone but it's not quite as much to keep up with as far as the epi being a different day each week. I'm sure you guys will make sure everything goes beautifully though; you always do! :)

Yeah, if we take out Hero (and actually, I'd be cool with taking out a couple more, including Collaborators, but I might be alone in that, idk, we'll have to see), that might shift things a bit. Another idea that has come up has been doing encores of both UB and UBEX over the weekends, so we'll see if that'd enable more people to participate too.

Right, you hit the nail on the head. I freely admit the rotating schedule is not ideal, but picking one day often leaves the same people out week after week after week, which also sucks. It's very hard to make this many people happy! LOL. Your idea of picking a couple of the most popular days is a good one. If the next few weeks don't work out with the schedule the way it is now, we'll see what we can do about arranging something like that. Sound okay?

Agreed, I'm fine with taking a number of the S3 epis out, but whatever others want to do is okay with me.

LOL, you guys actually do a wonderful job of making us all happy. Just having this comm and the rewatches and DPPs and chattering with everyone is fantastic. No worries about the schedule, I'm sure whatever we end up doing will be fun and we'll all come to as many as we can! Thanks, girlie! :)

Can only do Fri-Sat so that leaves out UB and UBEX for me. *sniffles*

Not too bothered about Hero (I do like the scene where Kara goes to Tigh with her concerns for some reason, but that's about it) but it's not on a day I could go to and taking it out wouldn't put UBEX on a day I could go to either... so my opinion is a moot point. ;)

I was just mentioning to Lex below that maybe we could do encores of both UB and UBEX during those weekends, like we've done for other big eps. What do you all think? Would that help? And would one of you be interested in leading one of the weekend showings?

Sounds good, hon. I'd be glad to lead one of the weekend showings but it would have to be at an odd time (perhaps better for the international folks anyhow?) b/c of my work schedule. I'm at work Sat 8a-8p and Sun 10a-10p EST but any other time like Friday night, Saturday at our International Rewatch time (~5-6am EST), or Sat night I could do. Just let me know...

My availability will unfortunately entirely depend on hockey - the NHL playoffs start this Wednesday, so when there's a conflict between a game and rewatch, my loyalty and first priority has to be my Sens. Hehe. But I will try to pop in for as many as I can, promise. :)

Two WEEKS of UB, dearie. :) I didn't make it a weekend event because that's not how the schedule worked out, but we can always do encores of both on the weekends like we've done for other big eps. I'd be all for that. Would you perhaps be interested leading one of those?

Nope, the rewatch is separate from the daily posts. Bee generally runs the rewatch, with a couple of us on standby if she can't make it one week or something.

What can I say? Given that 10 pm EDT is about 4 am for me... I'll be there for UB and UBEX :P And I'd definitely take "Hero" out... Who cares about that ep? And also "Collaborators" --the only good thing about that ep was Lee's black t-shirt ;).

Haha, Collaborators is the one where Kara joins 'the Circle' and Sam gives her the tag back. And all that other stuff. Measure of Salvation is...I don't even know. Boring. Oh, I think it's the one where Lee and Roslin want to wipe out all the Cylons with the virus and Helo is the only one who protests.

Being a heavy user of Google Calendar, I put the current dates/eps above into a public calendar, found here (http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=mtogdi4kdic1bmr7to01cvuerg%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/New_York). I've shared Google cals before, but never across timezones, so I have no idea if this is any use for the folks outside of the EDT timezone, but here it is. I set the originating timezone, so in theory, it will shift for those of you in other zones. I can add editing users (if you DM me), or I can update it.

I was all excited to do my first rewatch since joining, then realized it's Saturday and not Sunday this weekend, and I may not even be home when it starts. *sniff* Stupid RL friends and their inconvenient game night! ;)

Oh noes! I though the next one was today and was all ready to watch but it's tomorrow :( I hate Australian time zone differences. It means that a 10pm American re-watch falls at 12 noon the next day here. This means I'll only ever be able to join in with the one's that fall on Friday/Saturday night in the US (Saturday/Sunday day here) :'(
