Pilot hugs mean a lot of different things: thank the gods you're alive, I missed you, I forgive you, I trust you, and I love you. Pilots use physical affection (and eyefrakking) to express all of the things they never say in words. The two scenes below bookend the pilot experience for me. The Home hug and kiss, the first we see in the series, takes everyone (including Kara and Lee) by surprise. The brig kiss, the final important kiss for me, evokes painful longing, relief, separation, and, above all else, deep love and affection. It's painful and beautiful at the same time.

I think we're taking a short hiatus while peeps get caught up with real life issues. However, I still owe my International Shippers meta-ish posts on Hand of God (and Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down, although that's not as much K/L) so I'll see what I can do about getting that up this week so we have some K/L rewatch goodness during our S2 main rewatch hiatus.
