We've done this at Epics and it was a lot of fun.

All right, we all have them. Those embarrassing secrets that reveal the depth of our fandom. Or maybe you didn't notice something obvious the first eighty times you watched an episode and it had to be pointed out to you. Or maybe it's a fic you want to (or have) write that is far too embarrassing for words.

My embarrassing pilots secret is that on some level, I think that if you don't ship (or at least get) pilots, or hate either of them individually, there is probably some part of me that you will just never understand.

This sounds really weird, but pilots are a fandom litmus test for me - we may disagree on other things in other shows, and I get not shipping at all, but I really don't understand the bashing of pilots. I just don't.

I have a whole baby!fic outlined where Kara and Lee have an affair right before Zak dies and Kara gets pregnant but lets everyone think the baby is Zak's. Lee loves being an uncle until he accidental finds out the little girl is his when he's staying with Kara about a year before the decommissioning. Heartbroken and angry Lee fights with Kara. He's takes an off world posting and doesn't see Kara or the baby until the decommissioning, where Kara and the baby are representing Zak. Kara confesses to Lee that she always knew the baby was his (instead of confessing her involvement in Zak's death). The secret about the baby plays out in place of Kara’s involvement in Zak’s death until Kara and Lee reconcile at Colonial Day.

I always used to say I hate babyfic, but when getting knocked up doesn't change who pilots are or the host of issues they have to deal with, it's a great way to explore what they'd do in that situation.
