Writing Game: Pilots! So...predictable?

no_takebacksGood morning again! Thanks to those of you who joined our conversation yesterday, it was an interesting discussion and it's always great to see new voices joining in! Today, a game:
TROPES!
tvtropes.org defines tropes as "devices and conventions that a writer can reasonably rely on as being present in the audience members' minds and expectations" - and pilots canon and fic both employ and subvert many, many tropes over the course of their story. Case in point:
Belligerent Sexual Tension
Your challenge today is to think about the tropes left in comments and either:

- Write a drabble/ficlet that subverts the trope

“Kara?” He follows, confused.
She leads him another two yards, then stops. “Not we’re in the bedroom,” she says, still half joking, still ready to laugh it off if this isn’t really happening.
Lee nods slowly, then scuffs his shoe in the dirt. “This is the bed?” he teases.
Her face lights up, and all she wants is this: their own little world, nothing else touching them. Kara runs a finger down the seam of his uniform jacket, then leans up to press a kiss to his jaw, and murmurs in his ear. “Only one in the house.”

Date: 2012-06-30 06:27 pm (UTC)This is so sweet, and it is absolutely my head!canon now (I wish we'd got more of this moment actually onscreen, but fic is just as nice). It's so perfect for them, too - the joking mixed in with the sweetness is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
(I am choosing to resolutely ignore the thought of what happened after, living in this moment is very nice)
