Dee and Sam are between the two of them in what Kara considers an horrendously ironic metaphorical coincidence, and as she glances over her husband's shoulder she meets Lee's eyes glancing over his wife's.
Their gazes meet and she feels her stomach start to twist and her palms begin to tingle. Every time she looks at him now she feels his hands on her, his lips, his eyes boring into hers, so close she could literally climb inside of them, and it makes her sick to her stomach because he's never going to look at her that way again.
Their gazes meet and now all she sees is hurt, and guilt and regret for the things that they've done to each other. And she doesn't know whether it's him, or whether it's a reflection of what he sees in hers, but it's awful. And it's all there is now.
