Also, I loved Bingo Week even if I couldn't participate like I wanted - one of these days we really should look into making a master post with all the commentfic that's been posted here, last week and weeks before that gave us some real gems.

Do you follow karaleefic? It is a monthly catalogue of all Kara/Lee fic, including all of the comment!fic from NT and other sources. Comes out on the first of every month. :)

Yeah, but that's split across several years'/months worth of posts, I realise cataloguing all our fic might be a tedious task (I'd be willing to volunteer in a couple of weeks) but it'd make some things easier to navigate if someone wanted to find all the fic/old fic etc.

But...how would you even organize a post that enormous? It seems unwieldy and redundant to me if there's already karaleefic, no? It's not so hard to scroll back in one journal for all fic.

I won't lie, it might need more than one post (since lj apparently has maximum post lengths) but I wouldn't mind doing the parsing and sticking it under a 'fic archive' tag or something. I guess the point of it is just to keep it in this comm instead of having to go elsewhere to search for what people have written here.

But it's going to serve the same function whether it's at this comm or elsewhere. The link on the side that goes to KaraLee fic could just say "Fic Archive" if we wanted it to. It's all pilots fic. And granted it's not all produced here, but does anyone care about where it came from when they want their fix? I doubt it. Seems like re-inventing the wheel to me.

If someone wanted to spend the time retagging all the posts here though... that'd be kind of excellent. ;)

I guess you're right, it does seem pointless when you put it that way.

The retagging thing, though, I would be happy to do that next time I take on the DPP/have editing powers over posts.
