I liked the idea of Lee doing something out of character to deal with pain or need or whatever...just not THAT. For someone who pined so hard for Kara or had total woman issues a'la Gianne...I think he would have been over there trying to save them, but I dont think he would sleep with any of the prostitutes.

I dunno, I could see the hooking up with a hooker thing on the basis of being emotionally shutdown and not wanting to be attached. It's the left field, POORLY FUCKING EXECUTED gf/kid backstory that offends my sensibilities.

Well, I can see why he'd go to a prostitute. I don't LIKE it, but it makes a strange kind of sense to me. For one, as one of the leaders of the fleet, it allowed him a small amount of anonymity. Two, he's using her as an outlet to try to work out his guilt over Gianne. Three, he wanted Kara and couldn't have her, so this was a way to get off without having to commit to someone else--he knew Dee was interested, but he didn't want her. He only goes out with Dee after Kara makes it clear "there is no us."

Fair enough...I can see the appeal of anonymity and emotional detachment...I just don't like it happening to Lee :(

I guess I should give him more slack...I'm so Kara-centric that I just expect Lee to do the right thing always for both of them, which isn't fair to him...

I do agree the gf/kid part is the worst part of the epi. It makes me cringe from a "poor writing" standpoint. The hooker thing just makes me cringe from an L/K standpoint.
