Thanks to everyone who participated in yesterday's post about piloty sartorial goodness (and badness). If you haven't done so already, it's not too late! You can still vote in the poll, post some picspam, add some snark to the mix, etc!

I tried to find the post on another comm that inspired this post, but that failed, so... please take a leap with me. Today, I'm asking you to do a bit of out-of-the-box thinking. Here are some questions for you to answer.*

What are some things we don't know about Kara, Lee, and the two of them together?

I'll start the Viper into the launch tube with some answers of my own below. Post away, y'all!

Lee:
1. Lee cleans up after Kara and doesn't complain.
2. Lee desperately wants to have a family, but only mentioned it that once. Didn't go so well.
3. Lee knows Kara will always climb back into bed with him no matter how angry she is.

Kara:
1. Kara pranks Lee at least once a week. He gives her his "patient smile" and she laughs even harder.
2. A couple of months back, Kara thought she was pregnant and ran to Helo. She never told Lee when she wasn't.
3. Kara believes Lee when he says he'll never leave her, but hasn't given up her apartment in Delphi yet.

Kara/Lee:
1. They never talk about what happened last equinox. Kara's still pissed and Lee's happy to pretend it never happened.
2. They touch all the time, even during the boring regular life bits.
3. They're not getting married and everyone is okay with that.

Kara:
1. When she first came back from New Caprica, she didn't notice. It wasn't really until she heard Narcho and Bellsen gossiping about it like old Picon fishwives in the head that she started paying attention, noticing the way the dress blue jacket pulled around the buttons and the once sharp lines of his jaw were obscured now. She told herself, and would have told anyone else, if they'd asked (which they didn't), that with Kacey and Sam and that frakking cylon and all the other crap going on in her head, she didn't have time or inclination to give two shits the ever-expanding waistline of the CAG. But the truth of the matter was that Kara hadn't even noticed. When she looked at him, she just saw Lee. And after nearly two years of not seeing him, she didn't really care if there was more of him or less of him than before. It was enough that he was there again, where she could see him, every day.

On kids:
I don't think either of them want children.

On marriage:
Lee doesn't want a piece of paper-- he just wants her.

Kara doesn't want a temple ceremony, not because she doesn't believe in it, but because being with Lee is more about choice. Her choice to stay, every day. To always come back. And she doesn't want any kind of cover, any divine obligation that would make her devotion to him any less than what it is.

To everyone else:
She tries to hide it, but she works so unbelivably hard to be good at what she does.

He's really incredibly introverted. And pretty darn shy when it comes down to it.

1. Actually more of a cuddler than Lee.

Kara:
1. One of the things she hates most about the end of the worlds is that she can't paint anymore. It's one of her few healthy outlets for her frustrations.
2. Wishes she had more friends, but isn't quite sure how to make them.
3. Would actually be a really great mother. (Sorry. I had to say it. This is my firm belief!)

Lee:
1. Is a hell of a cook. Used to watch a lot of cooking shows.
2. In a perfect world, he'd also garden and grow the things he'd cook with.
3. On the days where he's considered just having a lazy day, he can't actually stay in his pajamas all day. He will get restless and bored by about 3 PM.

Both:
-While Lee is a vanilla kind of guy, Kara can persuade him into any number of seriously kinky situations. He kind of likes when she takes charge.
-Even once they are together, it takes Kara a very VERY long time before she'll ever let Lee see her in a weak moment. She always storms off before that happens. But eventually Lee sees that her anger is masking some fear, and Kara sees that sometimes the comfort sex is as good as the make up sex.

Agreed about Kara being a mom. Whether or not she'd ever let herself go there is a different matter entirely. But I think that if she did ever get the idea into her head, she'd be great. I actually think that she's have a hellvua time getting Lee on board with the "let's have kids" idea. I see him as being far more intractable on this issue than she would ever be.

Yep. I think he just sits back and pretty much lets her do whatever the hell she wants. And enjoys the ride, of course. But the Lee in my head is not a prude-- he's just cool with her having her way with him. I actually see them both as having pretty active sex lives, at least before the end of the worlds.

1) Can often be found grilling out in the backyard and drinking beer during the hot months.
2) Are honorary aunt & uncle to a lot of veterans' babies.
3) Still write love letters to each other. Lee's are very precise and Kara's have splotches of paint.

AH! I love this topic! I hate that I was driving for fourteen hours today and so missed all the fun!

But here's my stab:

Kara:
• Plays four or five instruments competently, including the bass guitar and of course, the piano
• Is shockingly frugal, given how little she seems to care about the future—'cause she's always waiting for the other shoe to drop
• Has a child's joy for all holidays, and kept a stash of seasonal decorations for all colonial occasions in her basement storage at her apartment in Delphi

Lee:

• Got his only demerits at War College as a student activist, when he participated in a sit-in on behalf of campus service employees
• Is an avid amateur photographer
• During college, wrote a complete pacifist novel (parts of which were pretty good)


Both:
• Can't sit through a whole movie together because they'd always rather be bickering about some minor plot/setting/casting/dialogue point in the movie (/having nookie time)
• Put on a hardcore front for others, but would both rather go to the zoo and look at (the BSG equivalent of) pandas in their downtime than, say whitewater raft or hang glide
• Are initially inclined, when they see a problem around the house, to just take care of it themselves, but often pass it on to the other because each figures out that the other needs to be needed.

1) Puts all of their books in their genre category, then sorts them alphabetically.
2) Likes doing the ironing.
3) Will never share the recipe for his secret sauce.

Kara:
1) Likes messing up the order of their books so Lee can fix them.
2) Actually a morning person now that she can see the sun, not the officers' bunkroom on a battlestar.
3) Wishes she'd been a bouncer at some point.

Lee & Kara:
1) Plant trees together every year.
2) Foster animals.
3) Go somewhere new together every year.
