DPP Color Week: Green
Nov. 3rd, 2011 02:22 pmWelcome! Sorry for the late post! RL kept me away. Previously, for the DPP Color week, we've had:
RED on Monday: What does the color red mean to you? To pilots? (So many wonderful ideas!)
ORANGE on Tuesday: Love or hate it? (So far, it's been mostly a forum to announce one's love of orange!)
YELLOW on Wednesday: What are your shiny happy futures for pilots? (The discussion of "canon" events have been fantastic)
Today, we have:
The color of trees and ambrosia! Moving towards the other end of the color spectrum, green is a soothing and relaxing color used to help calm us physically and mentally, easing anxiety and stress. What relaxes you? How about pilots? Where do they get their R&R? What does green mean to pilots? Lastly, what's the first thing to come to mind when you think of GREEN?

Nothing like a campfire outside for pilots to relax by.

Date: 2011-11-03 10:20 pm (UTC)Oh, and the adorable scene with Kara and Lee and the water hose:
picspam!!
Date: 2011-11-03 10:24 pm (UTC)(oddly enough, almost the same colour as Dee's despite the fact that they look nothing alike otherwise)
and other things, like the green of the flight suits and BDUs
and of course Kobol, and then finally, the scene of pilots' last goodbye *sob* at least the place was beautiful
On a happier note, there's also the grass of the Cloud Nine lawn in Colonial Day where pilots behaved like big kids for a minute - lots of greenery on that ship in fact:
And, lest we forget, what the entire crew of Galactica likes to drink :)

Date: 2011-11-03 10:33 pm (UTC)On some small level it soothed me that pilots' last scene together was in a place that was so green and beautiful - if there was a perfect colour for where they were emotionally at that stage, that was it. If Kara hadn't gone poof, that is :(

Date: 2011-11-03 11:43 pm (UTC)But green is also the color of hope, in French we say "Vert, j'espère" ('Green, let's hope' would be a literal translation) and I had so much hope for Pilots in Season 4 until Daybreak and the poof...
