DPP: Alternate Universes

So far this week we've talked about the possibility of pilots reuniting and what Lee and Kara would think of their actors other characters.

Today is your chance to imagine what would happen if Lee or Kara got dropped into the universe of another Jamie or Katee character. What would Kara do if she found herself in the loving Bickford family? How would Lee handle being Mitchell Hoban? What would Lee do if he found himself in the middle of the Napoleonic Wars? Or if Kara were suddenly a senior analyst at CTU New York?



And don't forget, tonight is meta night, we'll be watching Dollhouse and Bionic Woman at 7 PST/10 EST!

Ha! Well, I think it's interesting that both Lee and Archie have very dramatic courtroom finale showdowns, in which they make exactly opposite choices. Archie offers himself up as a scapegoat, whereas Lee points out the ugliness inherent in the search for scapegoats and forces an honest conversation about shared flaws, shared responsibility, and the need to move forward.

If it had been Lee & Horatio (rather than Archie & Horatio) on trial for mutiny, I think the military justice system of the 1800s might have been shaken up in a very good way :)

Oooh, I had never really thought about that. I get all distracted and cranky about the end of that episode, but that contrast in scapegoat logic is a really interesting point.

I'm so far out of the time zone I won't be able to watch in tandem, so I did it in advance.....and mmmmm, Jamie and Katee gone bad.

(is it weird that I fancy the pants off both of them even when they're in evil mode? It's just that they make such charismatic - and hot - baddies)

The weird thing is, I actually like Martin and Sarah as characters, they're so fascinating to watch and not one-dimensional at all.

And one more thing about J and K that becomes really evident as you go along their body of work : they're fantastic at generating chemistry with costars. (JaimexSarah in BW? I would read slashfic about them in an instant! And JBambz as bad-to-the-bone but still capable of falling in love arms dealer? Phew. *fans self*)
