Geez, Louise. So many choices. Luckily a lot of them are covered in fic. I don't have time to do rec list right now, but I'm sure peeps will step up to the plate. B/c we got lots.

What does make me smile is how there are even fanon pilot!sex cliches-- such as

wall!sex
shower!sex
sex!in!confined!spaces
viper!sex
metaphorical!viper!sex
table!sex
rack!sex
bad!dirty!wrong!cheatin'!sex
...

I know I'm missing some here.

And I'm not knocking it-- hell, I've written my versions of about half that list. I just think it's telling that as a fandom, we have such a well-established fic library of sexin' to draw from because we were so DENIED on the show.

That’s a great topic :D I don’t have much time, so all I will say is that I find rather baffling that Kara and Lee only happened to have sex ONCE, canon-wise. That’s just SO SAD AND FRUSTRATING AND SUCH A WASTE --thanks God we have fanon! That being said, as much as I love all of our "fanonical" K/L porny goodness, I wish there were more kinky sex ;) (btw, for the newbies, there was a a DPP with lots of great smutty recs (http://no-takebacks.livejournal.com/50213.html) a loooong time ago, check it out because it's totally worth it *g*).

Also, about “a specific place in canon I wish there'd been some sex", it's no secret that I’d definitely go for Eye of Jupiter and the affair (I have a thing for infidelity, what can I do? LOL). But seriously, I will never buy that they only kissed and made out. No frakking way I believe that --I don't care if that's what canon says, haha.

Me too, bb. It's been discussed many times before, but on the whole, our fandom does have a rather vanilla approach to teh sexin'. And in some ways, I think that's very understandable. The show can be so dark and gritty and pilots are overcoming such odds just to freakin get together that you don't necessarily want to interject more drama into the sexin'. Me personally, I sometimes just want my woobies to be all safe and happy and snuggly. And I think that sometimes manifests itself as a vanilla-falovored sexuality. But there are times when it would be nice to see a little boundary-pushing (roleplay, polyamory, bdsm-- whatever floats your boat, really.) Just to spice it up. ; )

I'm also a bit torn on this - mostly I'm of the school of thought that believes there totally was affair!sex and the idea that they'd just stop at major outmaking is a bit unrealistic, but sometimes I do think there's a sort of beauty in the idea that we only saw them together that once. Aw, I agree. I am of the opinion that they did have sex during the affair --seriously, it never occurred to me that they had, um, abstained ;) But I find the fact that they only got to really, completely be together once kind of romantic and tragic. It's even fitting, in a way.

You know, it's not canonically a sex scene but I'd really have loved to see the entirety of Kara's fantasy sexing with Lee (in place of Baltar) in KLG1. We only saw a bit of what went on in her head, but I'd have liked to see the full thing because they're hot and I like smut.

I keep coming back to the two scenes that were talked about in RDM's commentaries that never made it into the show: the scene where Kara and Lee were supposed to be in bed together in Act of Contrition and the skinny dipping scene from, what, KLG Part 1? I can't help but wonder how canon would have been different, if at all, if they had slept together so early on in the series. Would Kara have slept with Baltar? Would she have slept with Anders? I don't think it would have changed her going back to Caprica for the arrow. Would Lee have pushed her away in Scar? So many unanswered questions. I keep toying with a story idea exploring it... Anyway.

And yes I automatically assume that skinny dipping would lead to sex. :P wet and naked and alone? Sounds like the perfect combination to me!

I love fic where they cheat on Zak (yours is probably one of my faves), but canonically, it is really hard for me to believe that they had sex while Zak was alive. Of course, there were a lot of repressed feelings when they met two years after Zak's death, but I always got the impresssion that everything between them was pretty much platonic (For instance, I always had the vibe that their kiss in "Home" was actually their first kiss --we know that it truly wasn't, but still...).

I don't like them intentionally cheating behind Zak's back but I feel like Zak popping the question must have either let to frak or fight (or both) between them. I think it's actually quite in character for them: Lee doesn't make a move until it's too late. Both of them ignoring their feelings, letting it build up until it's just too much and they break.

I love "Borrowed Time", It's the best pre-mini fix I've ever read. It's so well written and so much in character. The truck sex scene is kind of what I have in mind. I think that canon Lee and Kara would part after that and unfortunately not on good terms.

I hear ya, babe, but I still say there's something about that first meeting in the mini that just damn near sets the place on fire. Maybe the actors did their jobs a little too well, but I think the level of chemistry alone made me believe that there was a big something that had happened. I really wish that when my shippy brain runs off with smutty ideas, that I would stop to write them down. I had one of those ideas recently that involved pre-mini cheatin' or almost, playing-with-fire type stuff. Ugh! I can't remember it at all.

As a newb, I've had the delight of feasting myself on all the fic at once. Yes, y'all are still writing, but there's tons already written.

I have to giggle at how very true it is that wall!sex happened. Talk about your cliches! But, it's trufax.

Canon-wise, I was so crushed that nothing happened after she returned from Caprica. I thought that damn kiss meant something...everything. I even started dreaming of composing fic to fix it just tonight. That kiss is my background on my phone! I love it so!

Also, I think a smut!fic that needs to exist is pilots engaging in one-upmanship while drinking a lot, boasting about their sexual experiences/partners etc. I could totally see Starbuck enjoying the shock value of confessing to some less-that-ladylike activities! Add to that, I've noticed lately that I prefer a Lee who is restrained but not prudish, rather than the blushing, conservative Lee we usually get. I am really liking a sluttier, dirtier Lee who just doesn't get caught, doesn't talk about it. He tows the line but he likes to get down and dirty. It tickles me :D So...anyway....I could see them egging each other on, especially with an audience, to either confess or lie about increasingly more inappropriate acts...yes.

I read public property a while ago but I guess I hadn't read the corresponding Tara fic @ that point? Fun stuff, all this piloty smut :)
