I think Kara would cheat if she thought she could win. And I could totally buy both pilots as fans of the crossword, and of video games (which would do a fantastic job of bringing out their competitive streak).

She'd fill in a clue, she knows enough to get cryptic references, including poetry etc etc.... I have a feeling she'd be more likely to start it and then leave it halfway, while Lee might be the one to insist on completing it.

And video games are totally this world's half-ass substitute for sims ;)

Ok, I misread your post at first because I thought I read "was Kara addicted to daytime TELEVISION?" And now I can't get the image out of my head of Kara (let's say pre-mini and after she busted up her knee) sitting on the couch day after day in a leg brace, becoming strangely obsessed with trashy talk shows and developing a favorite soap opera (hopefully something ridiculous like the late-great Passions).

And that thought is just cracking me the hell up. So thank you for that.

Oh, Kara being laid up after her knee thing and watching all the crappy tv in existence is totally part of my personal canon. And game shows are a big part of that, talk shows in the morning, game-shows at lunch time, and then in the afternoon soap operas and colonial Judge Judy, whomever she may be :)

I can see that. and then she would have started to tell everybody about the drama in the show and get angry when they didn't follow the plot. well,. sometime or another happens to the best of us.

You know, maybe it's all the crossover talk this week with reelpilots, but if they were in the Potterverse, pilots would SO play Quidditch!

Think about it, they get to fly at high speeds and potentially beat up things and try to injure the opposing team :)

Weirdly, I don't think Kara would cheat (at cards/games) - I think she'd be naturally good at most games and would want to win fair and square. That isn't to say she wouldn't bend the rules. She's good at that. ;)

Katee said some cracktastic things about her OTPs, but I think we can take her on her word about Kara's card-sharping - what would teh world come to if we couldn't? :)

This is what I have always thought, I know winegums has like, DNA evidence or whatever, but I feel like Kara would play dirty, and yes, definitely bend the rules, but not actually flat out cheat.

Conversely, I feel like Lee probably would. Not all the time, not with everyone, but in the right circumstances and to make the right point, I think he wouldn't be above it.
