Using the fancy new Share LJ feature to promote ANOTHER new LJ feature that seems pretty nifty. I frequently come back here and use the calendar to try to find posts I've made at this comm and I figured maybe some of you do too. Now this "Sort by Poster" feature should make that even easier.

Remember all those times you went to a community and stumbled upon icons or stories by one LJ user but it is impossible to find all there posts amongst the thousands posted. LJ has added a new community feature and it is worth posting about. Originally posted at [livejournal.com profile] news :
Features and changes
Sort community posts by user - We've added navigation options which allow you to more easily sort community entries by poster! The 'Sort by poster' option now appears in the Navigation Strip when you're viewing a community. Roll your mouse over or click 'Filter' on the navigation strip, type in a username, press 'Enter', and voila! You can now view all the posts created by the specified user in the community. Additionally, when you're viewing a community, the menu which appears when you hover over a person's userpic will also include an option to view entries in that community by that poster.

Granted this feature does you no good at this community but will come in really handy at communities like [livejournal.com profile] _fandom_icons_.

That isn't the only new feature they've come up with and this one I also appreciate and am grateful that it wasn't just implemented.
Improved post sharing/promotion functionality - We've incorporated a variety of buttons which can be used by to easily share or promote entries on FaceBook, Google Buzz, Twitter, and vKontakte. Additionally, we've included a button which allows other users to donate LiveJournal Tokens to you. Please note, these buttons are not displayed by default. Instead, you can opt to add them to any entry by including the <lj-like> tag.

The default <lj-like> tag will display all available buttons. You may also customize which buttons are displayed in the post. For example, <lj-like buttons="fb,go"> will only include buttons for FaceBook and Google Buzz. The two-letter code for each available service is as follows:
Facebookfb
Google Buzzgo
Twittertw
vKontaktevk
LiveJournal Donatelj

In action, using the <lj-like> tag will look like this, depending on the buttons you've selected to show:

You can hit any of those buttons to use them. I didn't show you Google Buzz or vKontakte because I don't flow with those.

Hey guys, it's Friday!!! Woooooooooooooooooop!!!!

I've had an awesome week of fandom fun with all of you guys, we've talked about imaginary stuff, pilots set to music, pilots as other people and fics that make us click. We've swooned and squeed over Bamceps and the incredible bromance of Fassbender and Macavoy, we've reccomended our favourite fics and hopefully people have had the opportunity to read some things they haven't read before, and generally, I like to think, we've had an all-round good time. Thanks everyone for playing along, I've had a blast :) I've got one more post set up for tomorrow, but today is my last discussiony one, the weekend is something different.

So today I thought we'd talk about things we would have liked to see, missing scenes that never were sort of thing. Are there questions you think are unanswered? Are there moments that you wish we had been shown? And bear in mind this is not a fix-it, not a what would you have changed, I'm talking about scenes or conversations which have no overall change on canon or the outcome of the show, but that you feel would have made that episode better, made a later scene make more sense, or would just have really liked to have seen.

For instance -

I really wish that we had seen more of their interaction in Scar - I want to know what happened between them kissing in the rec room to stripping in the bunk room, and I know that it's fairly obvious what happened in the general sense, but I am greedy when it comes to pilots actually getting it on, and wish we had seen the whole sequence, seen how they reacted to the initial kiss, how they got themselves to the bunkroom, I just want MORE!

I also want to see more of the scene at the end of Resurrection Ship II where he drops the "I didn't want to come back" bomb, because I really want to know how she reacted to that, what she said. And I know that there's lots of really good fic that hypothesise the outcome, but obviously it became a point of estrangement between them given the following episodes, and I just would like to know what actually happened.

What about you guys?
