Today, I want us to rec each other things. Interviews, con reports, vids, fics, anything you feel deserves a look. And by all means, feel free to pimp yourself!

I'll go first! I happen, for no real reason, to be having a grumpy sort of day. So here are some of my favorite comfort Pilot things.

Growing up, Lee thought it was an open secret. That everyone knew “your father is never home” was a euphemism for “your father is frakking Uncle Saul.”
It's more Lee-fic than proper Pilots fic, but Kara's there! I never crossposted this anywhere, so it's a little underappreciated.

I've recced so many things, so many times, that I decided to try to find things I've never recced before:

No Remedy (http://rachelindeed.livejournal.com/5890.html) by rachelindeed - Told from Cottle's POV, Kara gets pneumonia on New Caprica instead of Anders and Cottle goes to Lee for help. This story is so surprising and original and pitch perfect.

Prophets (http://community.livejournal.com/tulipfic/59475.html#cutid2) by rayruz - This is technically a crossover fic, a slash fic at that, but you don't need to know much about the other show (Flash Forward) to enjoy it. In the show Flash Forward, there was a massive global black out in which everyone saw a glimpse of what potentially could be their future. That's all you need because at its heart, it's Kara/Lee and their undeniable connection, any time, any place, any universe.

AU kid fic part 1 (http://community.livejournal.com/no_takebacks/113376.html?thread=6786016#t6786016) and part 2 (http://community.livejournal.com/no_takebacks/113376.html?thread=6786784#t6786784) by ninety6tears - I love teenage/kid-aged pilots. Probably because of my love of YA fiction. And there's just something about this one--probably Lee watching her while she sleeps! A trope that truthfully I've never really found creepy! - that makes it my favorite. Well, and the adult part. ;)

The Forbidden Zone (http://coffeesuperhero.livejournal.com/212228.html) by coffeesuperhero - Punk rock Kara/Zak and Lee. I just love the Lee voice in this one so much. It's hilarious with great banter.

Hot Morning (http://sci-fi-shipper.livejournal.com/54418.html) by sci_fi_shipper - Sexy. Lovely. Goodness. Hot but romantic and perfectly pilots.

Singularity (http://users.livejournal.com/wisteria_/913582.html) by wisteria_ and End Times (http://indigo419.livejournal.com/68005.html#cutid1) by indigo419 - I'm not usually one for the unhappy endings, but what I love most about these two is that it's "just you and me" on Galactica at the end of everything. And yeah, I'd rather they died together than live apart.

First Times (http://foxrayne.livejournal.com/2688.html) by foxrayne - Zak & Kara & Lee and their perfect friendship. With hints of more of course...

Ohhh, No Remedy was by rachelindeed? That's awesome! It's one of the first pieces of BSG fic I ever read over on ff.net, and it's one I go back to all the time.

Interview recs

Since we can rec interviews too, here are two:

Interview with Katee (http://blastr.com/2009/11/katee-sackhoff-spills-on.php) in which she seems to imply that Lee was the one Kara wanted to be with at the end (more support for my theory that she thinks of the ending as Sam/Kara because of the lack of resolution with Lee, and nothing else!).

Also, this probably has permanent dibs on everyone's soft spot, but Jamie's post-finale interview at the Jules Verne festival (with him SPEAKING FRENCH, SQUEEEE) (http://www.dailymotion.com/playlist/x10c2o_3xcusemyfrench_jamie-bamber-interview/1#videoId=x94hba). I know people have had issues with some of the things he says about Kara, but I really read that as Jamie struggling to make sense of all of it, though even he can't manage to explain the pigeon, lol.
