Why do you ship K/L? I actually only ship them in fanon. I have some "challenges" with Lee in canon, so I'm mostly frustrated by him, although I'm learning to come around a bit thanks to the tireless efforts of sci_fi_shipper. I ship them in fanon because well, they are good together when we can fix them to our liking :-)
Do you ship anyone else in the show? Nope
How did you find this comm? I lurked on taragel's journal for a long time and kept seeing references to this comm, so I checked it out and everyone seemed really nice and welcoming, so I delurked and here we are!

Favorite scene: Stims scene between our pilots in 33. Also LOVE the memorial hallway scene. You know, the "I'm Lee, you're Kara" one

When did you start watching BSG? approx. 4-5 years ago, but got around to finally finishing it only two months ago.

Why do you ship K/L? Because they make every other couple in film or TV look shallow and insipid in comparison, and if I had to go on about them I'd probably exceed the maximum possible length of a comment on here.

Do you ship anyone else in the show? Adama and Madame Airlock, though pilots have pretty much ruined me for feeling this intensely about any other pairing anywhere.

How did you find this comm?: I'd been avoiding comms for years because I didn't want to get spoilered (my pace of watching has always been a little behind everyone else) but a search for places to discuss pilots led me here.

Favorite character(s): Lee, Kara, PapAdama, Madame Airlock

Least favorite character(s): as far as BSG goes, I have more dislike of stupid plot points than characters, really. But Blanders and Dee in S3 were plenty annoying.

Favorite episode: I'm expected to pick just ONE?
Favorite scene: For being the moment that cemented my pilots love forever, Kara ramming her Viper up Lee's in the miniseries. That his return from the dead, which basically made them my OTP. And confirmation in Daybreak that for pilots, it was love at first sight. And their reconciliation in Unfinished Business. (can't even start to pick just one)

Other fandoms: Buffy, Harry Potter, Firefly, Cardcaptor Sakura, Battle Royale (at least, those are the ones I still read fic for)

3. I love lemons, and anything that smells or tastes of them. I've eaten enough raw ones to erode about twenty layers of tooth enamel, but nothing's happened so far.

If you could meet any person (dead, alive, real, fictional) who would you choose? Since we're here, I'd love to meet Kara or Lee, maybe lock them in a cupboard in the hope that they'd frak instead of beating the snot out of each other. But IRL, I'd love to meet Joss Whedon or J.K. Why do you ship K/L? Because they're several different kinds of awesome and they're the characters I identify with the most in the series. I was hooked on Pilots as a ship by AoC.
Do you ship anyone else in the show? Not in any hardcore way, though I do think that Helo/Athena are actually kind of cute. I like that they made it work, and not just because they had a child together. They really had something :)
How did you find this comm? Not gonna lie, I googled for "What if Kara had been grounded in Maelstrom?" and it led to a post here - I can't remember which one. Then I looked at the community as a whole and added it to my RSS reader cos I was too scared to join properly ;)
Favorite character(s): Lee, Kara, Helo, Cottle, Baltar (I'm not so sure it's Baltar himself I like so much as the fantastic job James Callis does portraying him).
Least favorite character(s) I run a bit hot and cold on Laura. I think she can be amazing but I have major issues with some of her decisions and a lot of what she does in s4 annoys me. Tory winds me up too, as does Kat (especially in Scar - when I first saw that ep I started really disliking her and never really stopped, so her death really had no effect on me).
Favorite episode: Gah, just one? I love the mini, 33, AoC, Colonial Day, Final Cut... I have fewer as we get further in to the series, but I really love the Mutiny arc. If it had to pick just one though I think I'd probably go for "33" because in many ways it's the perfect intro in to the characters.
Favorite scene: The brig scene between Lee & Kara in Six of One and the hallway scene in Islanded.
Other fandoms: An old-school set of girls school stories called The Chalet School. There were 60+ of them so plenty of room to play with characters. I've recently got in to Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. I also like Buffy, Star Trek (esp DS9), Stargate SG1, M*A*S*H, West Wing (s1 and 2) and ER.

Three random facts about you: 1) I'm a history geek and that's one of the reasons I stayed living in Canterbury after I graduated Uni 2) I have a minor stationary fetish. Coloured paper, coloured pens of all shapes and sizes, fountain pens, gel pens, notepads, envelopes... I live in fear my huge stash will have to be culled before we move house. 3) I like giraffes. Best thing about my holiday last year was being able to hand feed some at the zoo.
If you could meet any person (dead, alive, real, fictional) who would you choose? Probably Sir Archibald McIndoe and the members of the Guinea Pig Club. McIndoe was a pioneer of plastic surgery and in WWII performed life saving and enhancing surgery on badly burned pilots/aircrew. So that they didn't feel isolated he encouraged them to fraternise with each other so they made themselves in to what they called the Guinea Pig Club. Meeting them would be amazing.

Why do you ship K/L? As previously mentioned, I was a Jamie fan long before the show. so I watched it for him, developed a girl crush on Kara almost immediately, and from their first scene together their chemistry was undeniable and unavoidable, and so very pretty

Do you ship anyone else in the show? Not in the same way, not really.

Favorite episode: I deeply love Valley of Darkness for the fact that it is pretty much in real time, even though it is not shippy at all.

Favorite scene: Pretty much any time Jamie and Katee are on screen together my TV either melts or implodes from the sheer awesome... Also the exodus from New Caprica was pretty epic.

Other fandoms: um.... too many to list? But none really active online currently. I am pretty diverse in my fangirling, but I don't like the wank that comes with some fandoms online, so I just sit in my happy world with my popcorn and watch the shows.

When did you start watching BSG? Um. Around November 2005. I stole the S1 DVDs from my brother during the S2 mid-season hiatus. First TV show I ever followed. It sparked my intense love for television.
Why do you ship K/L? I... I don't remember why I shipped them at first. I didn't really know what shipping was. But I think it was because they were all banter-y and attractive and probably all that delicious angst. (This was before I realized I am an angst whore.)
Do you ship anyone else in the show? THE TIGHS ARE MY SEKRIT OTP. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.
How did you find this comm? I actually found it before it went live! I was stalking taragel and cosetteferaud's convos about it, and found it asap. I still remember Cosette's shock at finding me there so early.

When did you start watching BSG? Just this May. I pretty much kissed sleep goodbye and devoted a solid two or three weeks to the four seasons. (This is really saying something. I am typically very attached to my sleep.)

Why do you ship K/L? I don’t know if I have an answer for this that wouldn’t eat up four pages word document. Because no other couple in any fandom ever has made me feel as much as these two frakking tragic individuals. Also they punch and love each other.

Do you ship anyone else in the show? Not really. I’m fond of Bill/Roslin in a detached kind of way but Kara and Lee are pretty much the end all be all for me.

How did you find this comm? One of my favorite things about new fandoms and ships is knowing that there’s probably a whole treasure trove of fic just waiting to be plundered. By the episode 3 I was searching “Lee Kara season 1 fic” on google and lo and behold: no_takebacks. (I kinda unfocused my eyes and sped past the pictures that make up the awesome header to avoid spoilers. Somehow, amazingly, this worked.)

Favorite character(s): Starting out I thought it’d be Kara (loved her from the moment she did her mocking victory shoulder bop dance) and Lee kind of irked me in the beginning of the miniseries (I was like- what is this high pitched voice? Why are you a whiny little bitch? I don’t even find you attractive), but then suddenly he was diverting missiles away no questions asked and went all “lady’s in charge” and cute sheepish smiles and came back and stared at Starbuck like she was all he needed in this fractured limping remainder of a world and he held her hand for too long. And I was like Forgive me, Lee. I was wrong. I was wrong. From that point on he grew on me in ridiculous all consuming ways till by the end of it I was like: Lee Adama for all awards and let me hug him and hold him in a pocket forever and even begrudgingly forgive him when he makes stupid ass mistakes like running scared the moment Kara finally mustered up the courage. That one stung, Lee. Not gonna lie. (But oh right, yes. I also love Kara, of course. And Gaius Baltar. I can’t help my affections there. It’s not my fault he’s hilarious and James Callis is amazing.)

Least favorite character(s) I wanted to punch Kat smack in her antagonistic mouth for the majority of the scenes she was in (brief bout of affection when she camera mooned. Then they decided that she would hate on Starbuck and I was like That’s it. This relationship is over.) Always ugghed my way through Cally scenes (more due to my issues with the acting than with the character. But a little bit due to the character.) Didn’t mind Dee until they 180’ed her into breaking Billy’s heart. Why, Dee? Why?

Favorite episode: Impossible question is impossible. 33? Unfinished Business makes me sob like a baby. The arc with Kara trapped on the moon. The mutiny arc in season 4. (It hopped me up on angry adrenaline and the urge to punch things. Love.) Oh god, Colonial day. Happy Pilots are such a rare commodity that I can’t not treasure that episode. It also gave us Good Cop/Bad Cop Kara Lee with Lee as the briefcase hurling alpha bad cop and it just doesn’t get much better than that.

Favorite scene: I’m here. You’re here. This is all that matters. (And I’m going to stand here and hold your face and save you when you’ve lost yourself love you unconditionally and make certain fans of the show blubber into clutched pillows till they can’t make out the screen through the tears.)

Community, Harry Potter, True Blood, Dead Like Me, Extras, Veronica Mars… I kinda still watch Glee despite the fact that I now more or less hate its guts; I’m following the Dan/Blair storyline on the gods awful travesty that is Gossip Girl. I’m getting into Whoverse and I’ve just started Firefly. I’m strangely attached to Japanese and Korean dramas. The list goes on.

Least favorite character(s) I always feel like with this question I should say that I don't want to rain on anybody's parade. I can understand the appeal of basically all of the characters -- I think it's a phenomenal ensemble, and more power to the people out there who find a lot to love in the ones that rub me the wrong way. But for me, Baltar, Head!Six and Romo are often artificial and annoying. Also, I disagree with almost all of Roslin's decisions, and most of Cottle's too. Different strokes for different folks!

Other fandoms: At the moment, Sherlock and Doctor Who (and I keep a distant half-eye on House solely because I like Wilson). I also still dabble in Harry Potter (for Snape). In the past...SO many :)
What do you post on your journal? Almost entirely just fanfic. I've written for BSG (Kara/Lee), Sherlock Holmes (old-style and new), Harry Potter (usually unrequited Snape/Lily), and the Whedonverse (brief forays into Buffy and Firefly).
Are you open to adding new friends to your FList or are you just super private and prefer to keep things locked down until you REALLY get to know someone? To tell you the truth, I don't friend people very often, though I love the people I know online. It's just not my thing, and I don't post personal news on my journal anyway.

Three random facts about you: I just got back from a lovely family visit, I was humming "Dalla sua pace" from Don Giovanni to myself while waiting to go to the airport, and my favorite Beatle is John even though I think Paul is the better musician. I am not the walrus.
If you could meet any person (dead, alive, real, fictional) who would you choose? Hmm. Not sure. James Madison would be interesting. So would Tom Stoppard.

Why do you ship K/L? Lee is my favorite character, and Kara is clearly the person who is most important to him, first last and always.
