DPP: Happily Ever After

 Okay, I know we didn't get any happily ever afters in canon, and sometimes (maybe all the time) it seemed like happily ever after was just an impossibility for pilots. Too much water under the bridge and all that.

But I thought we could talk a little happily ever after, just for fun :) Rec me your favorite happy vids and happy-ending fics. What's your favorite poof fix? What about future AUs you love? Was there ever a point in canon when pilots could have had a happily ever after, and if so, when? What are the happiest moments for pilots?

They could have had a happy ending whenever the writers chose to give them one. It didn't need to be so complicated with that kind of love between them. #trufax

Happy recs--well most fics are fix-its so there's a bajillion I suppose. My favorite poof fix? Has to be the one I gave them with workerbee73. ;) Smutstravaganza (http://taragel.livejournal.com/65477.html) heals all! Cathartic, it was.

Me too, that one's a favorite. The dialogue is just perfection. So evocative and yet pilots are being their usual mostly taciturn/dancing around it selves.

Re: pilots in canon having a happy ending, they would have had it if Maelstrom hadn't killed her off/caused her to go poof. But the point at which it really looked reachable for them was when Kara asked Lee whether he'd leave Dee if she left Sam. If only the writers had given him a different answer to that question....and that's AFTER taking into account the fact that Anders and Dee were treated as these Major Relationships for them in the first place.
