 I was looking through old DPPs a week or two ago and came across the When You Say Nothing At All video, and it got me thinking about sweet!pilots and eyefrakking and wonderfulness, of course, so I thought today we could talk about pilot moments with a little survey! I love how, in the Home 1 kiss, she closes her eyes when he moves in - right before pulling away. *sigh*

This is off the top of my head

* favorite eyefrak - the mini out from under the viper 'cause he isn't dead. Close second, Pegasus mission briefing handing over the recon package
* sweetest moment - her acknowledgement of his job on the tylium raid. Close second, Lee seeing Kara in the blue dress
* happiest moment - you're dreaming sequence on the Astral Queen
* favorite angsty moment - Lee turning down if I leave Sam
* favorite hurt/comfort moment - Kara checking up on Lee after his suicidse attempt
* favorite teasing moment - I can't pick one here but I guess I see the locking vipers to rescue him as a tease so that's perhaps the most unusual of my tease moment choices. Others - It's a stealth ship, worst CAG, when you bring back a souvenior/you need a bath, waterhoses at 10 paces.
* favorite UST moment - Scar table
* favorite buddycop!pilots moment - taking back the ship
* favorite bamf!pilots moment
* favorite Lee moment - if I have to pick one I'll go with joy after the tylium raid, but I have to say the blowing away of Phelan is also up there because it proved Lee had the steel core that so many thought he didn't for me.
* favorite Kara moment - pulling the guns out of her truck with Helo
* favorite romantic moment - brig kisses
* favorite friendly moment - hugs prior to the res ship raid
* least favorite moment - Lee ordering Kara to deliver the nuke
* the moment you knew pilots were meant to be - mini discovering the other was still alive

Here goes, and I will probably change my mind a million times because trying to pick ONE THING when it comes to pilots is torture:

* favorite eyefrak - All the ones in Unfinished Business. And her reciting Katarus (sp?) at him in Final Cut.
* happiest moment - Shouting it to the skies on New Caprica.
* sweetest moment - "You have a brain?" And the entire "no takebacks!" conversation in Home 1.
* favorite angsty moment - "Would you miss me, sir?" in KLG1
* favorite hurt/comfort moment - Brig kissing! And (most of all) under the wing in Maelstrom.

* favorite teasing moment - Kara to Lee with the Blackbird in FotP (with even THEIR SHIPS nose-kissing OMG!!!!) and their playing with the hosepipes in Colonial Day.
* favorite UST moment - The fight in KLG1, and ringside in Unfinished Business.
* favourite reunion - Home, Part 1 and Crossroads Part 2.
* favorite buddycop!pilots moment - Dunno if this is buddycop in the orthodox sense, but shooting out the door in FotP. (I LOVED the fact that he had to hold her hand to get the gun aimed properly)
* favorite bamf!pilots moment - Kara flying a frakking Cylon raider in formation with Lee in YCGHA.

* favorite Lee moment - his speech in Crossroads 2 at the trial.
* favorite Kara moment - her scene with DadAdama when she finally confesses about Zak failing Basic Flight.
* favorite romantic moment - Brig kissing, Unfinished Business dancing/kissing/sexing.
* favorite friendly moment - Lee stepping in to the end of Kara's roll call of all the dead pilots at the end of Scar.
* least favorite moment - That awkward, horrible phone call at the end of LDYB2, when they weren't even friends anymore.
* the moment you knew pilots were meant to be - Kara folding out her photograph in the miniseries to reveal Lee.
* the moment you couldn't ever go back from pilots - Kara ramming her Viper up Lee's to bring him home at the end of the miniseries.

Honourable mentions:

- not romantic, but their "Ewwww gross, Mom and Dad are making out." faces at the end of The Oath when Adama and Roslin are kissing in that Raptor.
- the cuddle in Flight of the Phoenix (so, so post-coital)
- the origins of the eyefrakking, as seen in Daybreak, part 2.

hehehehe, i LOVE all of these. i especially agree with your least fave moment...that phone call kills me. the whole scene just feels wrong. and AMEN to fave bamf!pilots moment :D i love when lee is all "THIS IS SO FRAKKING WEIRD," hehehehehe.

I know, it was so unnatural for them to be that way! And it was so obvious it was making them both miserable. If anyone didn't believe pilots need each other in their lives SO, SO BADLY, all you have to do is show them the result of their estrangement (which is why Unfinished Business, where it all finally started to make sense, felt like such a punch in the chest to watch. I mean, I love it but it's harrowing, seeing it happen).

On a happier note, re: YCGHA, that entire scene is just so awesome, with him trying to shoot her down at first and then his COMPLETE AND TOTAL JOY when he sees her callsign taped onto the raider wings. Just love, all around. Roslin didn't quite have it right when she said the Adamas were moving mountains to find Kara because she was their last link to Zak - by that time, it was so obvious Lee was head over heels for her, I remember going "ha, that's what you think...". *sigh* I can't quit pilots, they have ruined me for any other ship forever.

I'll also add to my "favourite friendly moment" Kara finding her own dead body on Nuclear!Earth, and going off to tell Lee about it, only to stop short when she realized something had gone terribly wrong with him, and she put aside her own pain and confusion to listen to him.

It was a huge deal because Kara is so not given to talking about her problems, and when she hits the worst revelation of all it's telling that it's Lee and not anyone else she wanted to confide in. Which is made even sweeter by the Islanded In A Stream of Stars scene, because you know this is exactly the reassurance she needed from him, and he came through with it. And he would have done that back then too, if she'd told him.

I love Kara Thrace, so the list of my favorite scenes with her is endless, the fight with Tigh at the very beginning, her box match with Hot Dog and Lee (UB), her flirtation with Baltar (first season), the first coming to her former apartment with Helo, almost all her scenes with Adama and Lee
