Greetings and salutations, Shipper Nation! I'm Amy, your friendly neighborhood monkey ninja.

Secrets! Everyone has them; some are more interesting than others. Today's mission, should you choose to accept it, is to tell us a secret (completely unknown to anyone OR poorly kept) about either Kara or Lee or K/L as a couple. You can do this as a sentence, a comment!fic, a prompt for someone else to write, a picture with a caption for emphasis, whatever the topic of secrets makes you think of.

Examples:

Prompt- pool hall bathroom rendezvous

Kara once tied Lee to a chair naked.

The Cost of a Clear Conscience

She knew that she would never tell him. Never make those straight shoulders of his bow under that weight. He wouldn't be able to deal with it. Hell, she could barely stand it and she'd had years to figure out how to deal. She couldn't be responsible for the destruction of another Adama man. Adama men were just too rare to begin with. It would be like killing a unicorn. So even as he railed at her all these years later shaking with a barely concealed fury that she'd passed Zak through Basic Flight, she held back the knowledge that would make him stop. Make the words that tore at her insides cease. But it would make him crumble under the weight of his guilt the way she had all those years ago. And as angry as his self righteous tirades made her, she knew that she'd never make him shoulder his portion of that burden. She should have never passed Zack in basic flight, she knew that, but she also knew the reason he'd crashed hadn't been his incompetence, it was because that morning before he'd left, she'd told him about her and Lee. About the table. About her confusion. About her dreams of another man. Everything. He'd stormed out cursing their names. She'd felt lighter after her confession. Able to think more clearly, but she knew that was only because she'd passed the pain onto someone else. It was her own selfishness that prompted the admission. That same selfishness that had driven her onto that stupid table in the first place. The effects of that decision were catastrophic and when the call came through that Zak would never return to her, she swore to never again unburden her own conscience at the cost of anothers. Lee could never know. The cost was too high and the God's took their payment in flesh. She may be a selfish woman generally, but Lee Adama was a cost she would never be willing to pay.

WOW! That's secret. Poor Kara. She was never given an ounce of happiness unless there was a ton of pain after it.

This is totally adorable. I would have liked Kara and Lee to be next door neighbors with Helo and Sharon. Aw.

ok one for the road peeps . . .

She knew why he was riding the pilots harder than usual. Knew what he was pissed about. Knew that he blamed the nuggets for the offense and was therefore riding their asses in retribution for their supposed wrongdoing. The entire fleet was short on basic supplies and pilfering other pilots belongings from their lockers wasn't unheard of, although still frowned upon as general bad form. Kara watched hungrily as he returned from the head, still wet from his shower. He stomped in throwing his things violently into his locker while trying to keep his small hand towel wrapped tightly around his waist. Trying valiantly, but failing miserably to maintain a slight measure of modesty. He caught Kara smirking in his direction from the comfort of her rack. "Can you believe these damned nuggets? Frakking vultures!" She attempted to hide her mirth behind serious eyes. "Yeah, I know. It's getting ridiculous." He fumbled into his briefs awkwardly, leaving little to her overly active imagination. Smiling to herself, she pulled her curtain shut, turned over and snuggled up against his giant fluffy bath towel.
