DPP: Drabble Weekend

I want to thank everyone who turned out this week to show their pilot love! Special thanks to all of the brave people who unlurked, tried their hand at pilot fic and made this week's DPP a success.



For the weekend, I'm going to invite everyone to write a pilot drabble. 100 words, no more, no less. Here's a convenient cut and paste word counter.

Kara was having a hard time understanding her own reactions. She was so nervous she had butterflies in her stomach. And it was pissing the hell out of her.

“Get a grip, Kara. Just talk to him. How hard can it be? You’ve done it thousands of times…”

“But this is it. Our shot at what passes for a bright, shiny future these days.”
They had found Second Earth. Her destiny had been fulfilled. All her ties with the past, including Sam, had been severed. THIS was her second chance.

“Go for it!”

She inhaled deeply and called out.
