Confession: I'm a recent convert to BSG, been lurking here for a couple of months but haven't been participating in the rewatch - just scouring for fics (and reading comments), etc.

Oh, I've probably already found that list - I've been lurking around the comms and main journals, after all. What I love about coming into the fandom this late? YEARS of fic to gorge myself on. YEARS!

I have a few fave authors (brynnmck, stars_like_dust, widget285, daphnaea, and taragel of course (and I'm always finding more!), but the fic that stands out the most in my mind, I think, is "Stupid Thing Last Night: The Sequel", and "Stupid Thing Last Night: the Rewind". They're just so perfect, how they develop from one stage to the next. Sigh.

[Tangential 2nd Confession of the Day: Trying to stave off BSG addiction by watching Law & Order UK. Not working. Why is Matt Devlin always fully clothed? And why isn't he making out with people? I hope 17th Precinct rectifies this situation ASAP. *sadface*]

And I haven't watched any L&O UK but I am not so patiently awaiting 17th Precinct. The script is really intriguing and I can't wait to see how it turns out with all of our old favorites...

Ok explain afterparty. I've been coming to rewatch for a while and have seen it mentioned, but I've never seen anything happen on the rewatch thread or this forum after the eps are over. I would think they would constitute continued, more detailed discussion of the ep, or our reactions to it. Where do they take place?

I have to admit, I haven't been to a rewatch in a while because end of s3/s4 kind of kills my shipper heart. But usually someone at the close of the ep will "claim" the hosting of the afterparty and put a link up to a post at their journal where we all come to squee, be silly, have a gif party, write comment fic. ETC ETC

I know! I was coasting my way through Season 4 and getting impatient for the big finale (so that I could finally know what all the fuss was about) when all of the sudden the mutiny arc happened and I was like OICU BSG GETTING GOOD AGAIN. I have so many feelings about Gaeta in this arc too...

I SO want to be there for this one, but I will be out with some of the g'friends on a (non-alcoholic, sadly) bender to celebrate the not-before-time end of what has turned out to be a worse relationship and engagement than anyone quite realised before my friend ended it. But I'll be rooting for the wonder twins. I'm in a fighting mood tonight! pew-pew!
